Companies use up loads of time and effort when conducting marketing campaigns. The campaigns are not just emails and landing pages but are made up of many different parts. It is then a massive waste of resources if your email doesnt deliver. Emails dont deliver for a variety of reasons. Considered junk by email hosts wont put it in your inbox. Therefore it wont get read. Spam looking mails will get deleted by customers also. How does one improve their email deliverability? Well there are a few things you can do to ensure deliverability. A companys mailing list should only contain customers who opted in to their email updates. People who subscribe to your mailing lists should be sent a link unique to them to their email. Email addresses can be verified using this technique. This allows a company to have a list of emails from people who have chosen to subscribe rather than just targeting people that have given them business before. This ensures people who havent subscribed to your email list wont get annoyed by receiving unwanted emails. Your email will less likely be thought of as spam for this reason. Your company is trusted by recipients then. This is one way you can save your mail from being considered spam. The design of your mail is kept. The emails of senders who are not-trusted tend to lose their images. Choosing your word carefully is vital so you are not considered spam. The body of your email is important but the subject line and the sender line is equally as important. Filters notice these lines immediately. Spam sounding words lead to being classed as junk mail. If you have gone to the trouble of making your company a trusted sender to your recipients, dont ruin it by using Spam sounding names such as Customer Department in your Sender line. Emails are also filtered based on their content so you should take care when creating them. Avoid language associated with spam. Too many images and the use of brassy colours are associated with spam. Emails with attachments are normally deleted by wary customers.
