If you were in the military or if you are currently serving in the military, one of the options that you have available to you is to sign up for the G.I. Bill. This can give you the opportunity to get your college education and to enter into the workforce, once your military career has ended. Generally speaking, the G.I. bill is fairly straightforward and you probably have somewhat of an idea of what you're able to do as far as that education is conce
ed. There are many people, however, that have questions in regards to the post 9/11 G.I. Bill and it is important to understand the answer to those questions before you enter into a college. Here are some of the most common questions that are asked.

First of all, most people are wondering what the post-9/11 G.I. bill entails. Although there could be a considerable amount written on this question alone, it sufficed to say that it was a law that came into effect on August 1, 2009. It gives more specific benefits to people who served in the military for 90 days or more, as of September 10, 2001. Under the new bill, you can be reimbursed for up to 100% of the tuition for any education that you are getting. In addition to the tuition, you may have additional benefits as far as housing, books and other supplies are conce
ed.

Another question that is often asked is if you're going to be paid to relocate if necessary to the new location where the college is located. The answer to this question is, yes and no. Most people are not going to be reimbursed for a relocation but other people may receive payments of up to $500 in order to relocate. The reason that you would get the money is if you happen to live in the role area in which the county only had six people per square mile or fewer. If you live in an area with a lot of people, you will be unable to get the $500 relocation money.

As far as the housing money is conce
ed, this is also something that often comes into question. There are going to be some benefits as far as housing is conce
ed, which can be of benefit to both the G.I. himself and for any military mom that may be trying to take advantage of the education as well. As far as the housing allowance is conce
ed, it does have a lot to do with the location in which you will be living. It also is determined by the number of credits that you are taking. If everything is in the right place, you may be able to receive almost $700 a month for a housing allowance.

These are only a few of the questions that are commonly asked about the G.I. Bill. It is typically enough, however, to help people see the benefits of taking advantage of this education that is offered from their military service.
