Every year the majority diagnosed with breast cancer belongs to female gender. This cancer has been diagnosed in men too but at a very negligible rate. The most important parts of female breast are lobules, ducts, and fatty tissues. Lobules are the basic part which is mainly functioning for preparation of milk. The ducts pipe lines then transfer the prepared milk to the nipples. Most breast cancers develop within the ductal part of breast where the rest of the types of breast cancer may either develop in lobules or in other structure of breast.
Women breasts are more sensitive to the attack of this disease as compare to men and that is the reason of increased breast cancer cases among them. This cancer basically develops due to the malignancy of cells in breast. As a result when some of the cells start growing uncontrollably they form a group which becomes cancer tumor. This tumor grows gradually and afterwards it can invade the nearby breast structure and then may metastasized affecting the other organs of body.
When breast cancer is at its beginning stage of development it may not show any of its indication. But later when it is growing gradually it may form different signs which can work as a guide in early detection of this disease. When this cancer starts growing, it can cause symptoms on breast skin and also within the inner structure of breast.
A very important and most evident sign of this cancer is appearance of a new lump that can develop either in any part of breast or in the armpits. Lumps are a mass that feels quite a separate structure in the part where it developed and it may feel harder or tender as well with feeling of pain when touched. Lumps are diagnosed when a woman is undergone a mammogram or a clinical breast exam.
They can also be felt by the women who know their breasts well and are in habit of regular breast examination.
You may experience a discharge from nipples when breast cancer has attacked you. This discharge can be bloody or some kind of pus. The fluid releasing from nipples can come out while squeezing or without squeezing this liquid can be discharging. Your nipples can also experience a sudden or gradual shift in their position when your breasts are suffering from the issue f cancer.
Chest skin has also no exemption. It can also be affected due to this cancer and can get wrinkled or experience rashes. There may also appear red spots on breast or whole breast get red. Swelling of breast is also a cancer symptom in which breast may get abnormally larger as compare to other.
Breast pain is so much confused sign of this disease. Those who experience it on reporting come to know that it is normal. Because during period days many women experience pain in breasts that later after period days vanishes. And those who ignore pain in breast considering it normal are diagnosed with breast cancer due to the consistent presence of that pain.
Don’t confuse yourself and always remember that if you are experiencing pain for a longer time and even after receiving initial treatment if this pain is not relief then it is not normal. On the other hand pain that is felt during period days and vanishes when you have done with period is quite natural and normal.
Breast examination and particularly annual breast screening is extremely important for early detection of breast cancer and the most sincere advice is that you should keep checking your breasts not only every month but you should also undergo a mammogram also.
