Varanasi is a city come under a state of Uttar Pradesh in Northern India. Varanasi has become now a religious center for Hindus, Buddhists and Jain, and also a center for learning, literature and culture. City is also called as Banaras or Kashi. Lives of the people of Banaras revolve around the holy river Ganges and its religious significance. Varanasi is situated on the bank of river Ganges and river’s Ghats are worth visiting once in a life time. Varanasi is also a producer of many Indian legends such as Musician, poets, writers etc. Guatama Buddha gave his first sermon at Sarnath which is near Kashi. According to the many Hindu scriptures, Varanasi is considered one of the seven sacred cities of India. It is believed that city was founded by Hindu God Lord Shiva. Varanasi is not only a place for religious importance but also a great city for Shopping as Varanasi is an industry for famous Banarasi Silk weaving and brassware. Varanasi is also famous for its brocaded fabrics, saris, jewelry. Carpets, lamp shades etc. Varanasi has been flocked by thousands of travelers every year from all over the world to see its narrow lanes decorated by typically road side shops, enchanting ghats surrounded by temples and eye catching crowds. Major tourist attractions of Varanasi includes The Ghats of Varanasi, The Kashi Vishwanath Temple/ Gyanvapi Mosque, St. Mary's Church, Bharat Mata Temple, Tulsi Manas Temple, Bharat Kala Museum and Benaras Hindu University. It is an outstandingly beautiful marble building built by Mughal emperor Shah Jahan in the memory of his late wife Mumtaj Mahal. Taj Mahal is an iconic monument of India and visiting Taj Mahal cannot be felt elsewhere in the world. Varanasi is well connected by all roads, trains and flights from all major cities of India.
