How does pregnancy begin? Pregnancy begins when a fertilized egg is inserted in the woman’s uterus. Women may undergo several common pregnancy symptoms week by week. Size of the fetus grows and changes radically throughout a pregnancy period. Women go through several changes during the stages of pregnancy. Many of the symptoms of pregnancy they experience and the changes they undergo are quite common to all the healthy pregnancies. Let’s understand the explanation of the different stages of pregnancy and the changes that women may experience during a healthy pregnancy period. Pregnancy period is divided into 3 trimesters. Each trimester is a little stretched than 13 weeks. The very first month marks the starting of the first trimester. First month of pregnancy: In the first month of pregnancy, women experience their very first sign of pregnancy, which includes missed periods, fatigue, mood swings, nausea, frequent urination and tender breasts. It is not necessary for every woman to undergo the same symptoms, but at least few of them are common to every 1 month pregnant women. Second month of pregnancy: In the second month, the pregnancy symptoms get noticeable. All the common symptoms of the first month, including nausea, fatigue, painful breasts etc. deteriorates. A woman produces extra blood during this month, and her heart beats faster and harder than usual to carry that extra blood. Third month of pregnancy: Similar to the first and second month, the pregnancy symptoms continue in the third month as well. A woman’s breasts continue increasing and changing. The area around the nipple which is called as ‘areola’ may grow bigger and darker. Also women who are likely to have acne may experience the outbursts. Forth month of pregnancy: Few of the early indications and signs of pregnancy start comforting during the fourth month. Sickness is generally lessened. But additional digestive troubles like indigestion and constipation could be upsetting. Pregnant women may also feel lightheaded may also feel weak owing to the variations in their blood and blood vessels. Fifth month of pregnancy: Women may feel butterflies in their stomach. The movement of the baby is felt for the first time during the fifth month. Nose bleeding and gums bleeding are common. Breast can be increased by 2 cup sizes. Sixth month of pregnancy: Women’s breast may start producing colostrum which is a tiny drop of early milk. This may continue throughout your pregnancy. Pregnancy symptoms of fifth and sixth month may continue. Few contractions may also occur, but it is nothing to worry about. Ensure you have regular checkups with your doctor. Seventh month of pregnancy: Uterus of the woman starts expanding. Back pain is common, the symptoms from the last month continue in this month as well. Eighth month of pregnancy: Women start feeling tired more often and face difficult time in breathing as the uterus enlarges. They may get swelled feet. Stretch marks are common because skin expands. Because of the pressure on uterus, women may feel an urge to pee more frequently. Ninth month of pregnancy: It’s all about observing and waiting now, ninth month marks the beginning of the test of your patience. Symptoms from the past months may continue. During this month some fetuses may also drop down towards uterus. Tenth month of pregnancy: A woman may experience severe pains in her vagina as the cervix widens up.
