Eating meat has always been great. It is tasty and delicious. But does your body think so too? Apparently not! Meat, especially red, is high on cholesterol and calories, not to forget the fat. Simply put, it is something, which your tongue loves but wrecks your body, inviting a host of diseases like high blood cholesterol, weight gain, obesity and many more. Mocked for years, veganism is now being looked at in a different light by the world. More and more people are realizing the benefits of the vegetarian cuisine and are one of the chief reasons for the steady rise in the number of vegetarian restaurants.

As the space around us gets crammed, there are not many places to unwind and visit if you want to get out of the house. Also, many families are now walking in the trend of working parents and the kids often have a pretty full schedule too. This has led to a rise in the number of family restaurants coming up at almost every corner. As the lifestyle becomes increasingly modern, cooking has been on the back seat for quite some time now. This has led to a round-the-clock increase in the trend of eating out rather than just ordering a take away. These restaurants provide the perfect setup for families to catch up on their lives and talk along with savouring the delicacies.

Why vegan restaurants?
Meat though delicious, is expensive. Barring the expense factor, there aren’t many health benefits associated with it either. Meat is a good source for proteins and was one of the reasons why it was included in the daily diet. However, in retrospect, it does more harm than good. In order to meet the protein requirements eating meat also leads to increase in weight, calories and the inevitable cholesterol.

These days there are many vegan options available that make up for the proteins that we get from meat, like soy and tofu. Many restaurants are coming up with a number of recipes and delicacies made of tofu, soy and paneer. In a world where people are becoming more and more health conscious, the rise of these kinds of restaurants is a great boon. Not only healthy, but also delectable, the vegan food is just the way to go for a glowing skin and a healthy heart.

Vegan is the best option!
For years, Indians have found it difficult to adjust to the food when they go abroad. But all of that is fast changing. All over the world people are accepting veganism in order to stay healthy for long. Be it New Delhi or New York, vegetarian restaurants are popping up at every nook and corner. Most of them are turning them into family restaurants as people realize the importance of having a meal together, in order to be more involved and informed about each other’s lives. More than anything else, this trend of vegan and eating together is sure to stay!
