Verbal and Non Verbal Reasoning SSC CGL
Introduction
As the SSC CGL exam is just around the corner, we know that you are looking for quality study material. Exam Pattern
This section of the exam will consist of 25 questions. Each question is of 2 marks each and .50 marks will be deducted in case of an incorrect answer. The SSC CGL 2020 Tier 1 exam will consist of four sections and you will be quizzed on English, General Awareness, Quantitative Aptitude, and General Intelligence & Reasoning. The total time allotted for this exam is 60 minutes and you will have to answer 100 questions.

Verbal Reasoning
For the ‘series’ topic you will have to learn about Missing Characters, Classifications, Analogy and Odd pair. You can expect at least four to five questions from this section.
Mathematical Operations, Symbols, and Decoding are topics that you should prepare for the coding section. Three to four questions are asked from this section.
The logic part of the SSC CGL 2020 exam will contain topics like Assumption, Syllogism and Venn Diagrams. You can ask two to three questions from this topic.
The ‘Arrangement’ section of the exam will have topics like Blood Relations, Puzzles, Direction Sense, and puzzles. Around four to five questions are asked from this section.
Non-Verbal Reasoning
To prepare for the nonverbal reasoning section of the SSC CGL 2020 exam you have to be thorough with topics like Mirrors and Water Reflection, Cubes & Dices, the sequence of figures, Paper cutting, folding and punching. Configuration, odd pieces, and fitting pieces are also part of this section. You can expect at least 7-8 questions from this section.
The verbal reasoning section makes up almost 66% of the reasoning section. The nonverbal reasoning section will make up 34% of the exam.
A successful SSC cgl preparation strategy will consist of taking mock tests, being familiar with the syllabus and basic understanding of the concepts. You should also attempt previous year question papers in order to get an understanding of the exam pattern. As the exam is pretty long, you should manage your time efficiently if you don’t want to miss any questions.
