When choosing which VILLAS IN SPAIN TO RENT, rememebr the white sand costa of Andalucia with its many hidden coves and a choice between the Atlantic ocean or Mediterranean sea. Go below the waves, as anyone who has dived here will tell you about the magical world you are entering. To dive in the calm magical waters is beyond comparison and Spain offers all this and more. With more than 4,000 kilometres of coastline, beginners to experienced divers have the opportunity to explore not only marine life but as well the many sunken wrecks off most of the Spanish coast. A moment after diving into the pristine waters you are immediately aware of nature at its best and the remarkable clear waters. Diving is not just a sport, for some it is a way of life. Each time you go under, providing you follow all the rules, which are common sense, anyone can dive. You can dive all year round in the warm waters surrounding Spain, the conditions though are superior in southern Spain. There is a multitude of diving companies all along the coast and with the tourism industry being so prevalent, the majority of people speaking English. The Illes de Medes is a series of protected Islands just off the coast of Mar Menor. The seabed surrounding the Islands is a protected zone, but the real treat is realising that over 1000 species of wildlife inhabit the region. Marine life includes the scorpion fish, octopus and moray eels, if you're lucky to be with a diving tour they would introduce you to Dolphin cave, about 15 metres below the islands. The waters of the Atlantic Coast of Andalucia are slightly cooler and have less people than on the Mediterranean coast due to the lower degree of tourism. The fact that the Atlantic is not as full of people does not mean there are less places to dive as there are plenty of dive sites. San Sebastián and La Coruña are the major ports of call for most divers in the region. If you happen to holidy in the Balearic's or the Canary Islands, Tenerife is a well kept secret of the Mediterranean Sea with excellent dive sites. When the Islands were created by the massive volcanic activity centuries ago, marine geology has evolved into an incredibly hive of activity, incredible formations below the surface and waiting fto be explored. These formations are home to manta rays, sharks, barracuda and octopus. There are however restrictions on diving with certain rules that need to be complied with when in Spanish waters, for example the age restriction is 16, although some local governments have their own restrictions. Be sure to check with the dive centre and that you have adequate insurance to cover all eventualities. You can dive all year round on the southern coast of Spain and the in islands, but the best time for diving is betwee May and September. You may need a wetsuit during the off season, as it can get cold at certain depths, but they are readily available for rent at most dive centres. Before deciding which VILLAS IN SPAIN TO RENT for your diving holiday in Spain you may need to check who does what in which area, it may mean looking up the various centres as some spend more time on training divers and others concentrate more on the holiday makers. Others go exclusively to wrecks while others prefer to introduce the wildlife. Also ensure you have your required certificates and that you meet the age requirements where you want to dive of course the dive centre will be as helpful as possibly.
