Mysore is popularly known as the city of palaces. The Maharaja Palace of Mysore is its most famous palace. Kalyana Mantapa or Marriage Hall This hall boasts of colorful glass ceiling with peacock motifs. Oil paintings ado ing the walls are also notable.
