Golden triangle trip is one of the most famous and popular travel circuits of India. This tour covers three major travel destinations of north India - Delhi, Agra and Jaipur. People can explore many important tourist attractions on their golden triangle journey but the world-famous Taj is the most worth visit of them. Its popularity and architectural beauty can't be compared with any other heritage monument in India. It is just like queen of golden triangle tours and its immense popularity also demolishes the popularity of other attractions as well.

Agra hosts the most beautiful wonder of the world the great Taj Mahal. This is a mausoleum of the King Shah Jahan's beloved wife Mumtaj Mahal. The construction of Taj Mahal was begun in 1630 and took 23 years to complete in the year 1653. Built with while marble, Taj Mahal changes its color through-out the day with the sun. The Taj Mahal is pinkish in the morning, milky white in the evening, golden when the moon shines and the intermediary variants during different hours of the day and during different seasons in a year. Taj Mahal in Agra is synonymous with a person's immense love with his wife. Now after three centuries since its development, this monument of love has been a major attraction for visitors coming on a tour of India from all over the globe.

Stated as the epitome of love, Taj Mahal is not only known for its exceptional beauty but also appreciated for the finest blend of Indo-Islamic architectural patterns. Further delicate perforate work, Arch of Jali, Inlay detail, incised painting and Herringbone provide grandeur to this architectural delight. Though it is a mausoleum but its crafted beauty, inlay decoration, lattice work and calligraphic work mesmerizes each and every visitor who comes to see this grand edifice.

Taj Mahal is mainly designed in Persian style surrounded by an Indian architectural style. The Complex of Taj is separated into four particular parts and every part has its individual worth and characteristics. The building is constructed with white marble topped by a dome and finial. The dome of marble that is mounted on the tomb is the most exciting feature. Its height is around 35 metres which is just same as the length of its base. An example of symmetry is shown by the four minarets which are more than 40 metres tall. This supreme epitome or temple of love was designed by a local Muslim architect, Ustaad Ahmad Lohri. The Gateway of Taj facing the monument is the huge red sandstone entry way. The wall of Taj Mahal is decorated with poetries which are mentioned in the holy Koran. The Garden of Taj gives awesome visions of lush-green plants and flowers that soothe your mind especially in the morning time. This garden shows the Islamic approach of construction and symbolizes the religion efficiently.

The best way to visit Taj is in a full moon night. In full moon night, it glitters like a diamond. The Taj is splendid attraction for all the time in a day. The Taj starts with shining shades of pink and red color. Its subtle shades of crimson colour create the path towards fine blue colour sun sets. The colour changes to gray in the night time. In the full moon night period, Taj Mahal looks like bright halo covered to it, indicating the lights and dome which focus on the splendid structure.
