Visualisation

Visualisation is one of the most powerful techniques you can use to be successful in home business.

Visualising works because it moves you into a state of heightened consciousness and awareness of the life you are meant to be living.

It sends a message to your subconscious mind that it must make the necessary changes in your conscious world so it falls into alignment with the movie you see in your mind’s eye.

Here’s how:

Find a quiet place where you can picture in your mind exactly how your successful life and business looks and feels.

See it happening right now. Visualising isn’t about projecting into the future, but rather believing it is happening in the present. So see your bank statement with those extra zeros, see cheques arriving in the mail, see yourself being congratulated by your colleagues, friends and family. Include details like what you’re wearing, where you are, the sights, sounds and smells. The more detail you include, the more real it becomes and the easy it will be to manifest.

Only visualise for a few minutes a day. Visualising for too long is likely to result in day dreams that can lead back into negative thought. A few powerful minutes each day is all you need to summon the great power of the Universe.

Always and only focus on the end result. The Universe knows how to deliver you the life of your dreams in ways that you can’t even imagine. If you focus on how these great things are going to come into your life, then you’re preventing it from happening in the fastest and easiest way possible. Focus only on the end result – the new house, the new car, the great holiday, the feelings of happiness, wealth and prosperity, and let the Universe get to work and finding the easiest way to bring them to life for you.

I’ve used visualisation to great effect in my home businesses. In my first year of business, I focussed on and visualised receiving cheques for the amount of $15,000. Back then this was a lot of money to me, but also seemed to be an amount that I could believe I would receive. I thought it was better to believe I could receive $15,000 than visualise $100,000 and not to believe it to be possible.

I visualised this figure over and over again, for a few months, and then it slowly faded away as the business become successful and I began to think of other things. I didn’t give it too much more thought until I was going through my accounts at the end of the financial year and realised that just about every one of my contracts had been for $15,000. By focussing on that figure, I drew to me the contracts that would bring in about $15,000. It was as if the Universe found only the jobs that would earn me this amount and sent them my way.

I also had the belief during that first year that as one contract ended, another would materialise, and it always did. I did virtually no marketing, beyond telling my colleagues that I’d started a business, and yet word of mouth ensured a constant supply of work – but only contracts for $15,000. Imagine if I’d had the belief that I would earn contracts for $100,000 and not do any more work?!

Visualising is an incredibly powerful tool that anyone can use to create the best mindset for success.
