Vivah Panchami:rnVivah Panchami is a sacred and popular Hindu festival. This festival is celebrating the wedding of Lord Rama and Goddess Sita. Once, sage Vishwamitra asked to king Dasharadhar of ayodhya, we are suffered very much and our yajna were interrupted by the demons. So you will send your son Ramar along with me to protect us and our yajna from the demons. King Dasharadhar sent his sons Lord Rama and lakshman with sage Vishwamitra. The yajna was successfully completed by the protection of Lord Rama. After that Sage Vishwamitra took Lord Rama to Mithila. Lord Rama visited janakpur on the day of ‘Margashirsha’ month of the Hindu calendar. At this time king janakar arranged the swayamvara for Sita devi. Sita Devi is the daughter of king janakar. Janakar announced a contest that who will broke the (Dhanush) bow of Lord Shiva, he will able to marry Sita Devi. Many princes were participated in that contest. But no one was not able to broken the bow of Lord Shiva. Finally Lord Rama was broken the Dhanush and married Goddess Sita. This day is celebrated as Vivah Panchami Festival. How Do Celebrate Vivah Panchami Festival:rnVivah panchami Festival is grandly celebrated in ayodhya and Janakpur in Nepal. Janakpur is the birth place of Mother Sita. It is believed, Lord Rama and Sita’s Wedding were held in Janakpur.
