There is more to experience in Thailand than walking the fine sands in Phuket or be astounded at the historic cities in Ayutthaya. Taking sight of the country’s spectacles may come in different ways, and one way is through volunteering. Should you have a thought of volunteering overseas, whether for a personal advocacy or business break, Thailand is a worthy place to go to. Life in Thailand is a blend of rich culture and traditions and an up-and-coming modernization. The warmth of the Thai and the beautiful old towns will make you feel like you’ve never gone far from home. rnThese are just few of the reasons why you may want to consider volunteering in Thailand. More importantly, though, the educational system in Thailand seems to be a robust one, one of the challenges faced is the need to develop a more stable program for primary and secondary schools. Being in the process of honing its economy, Thailand can greatly utilize the skill of English teachers. rnIt would be void of the luxury and deluxe of Thailand’s famous tourist places, but volunteering could introduce to you an experience worth travelling for. So, in case you wish to embark on this journey, first thing you might want to consider is obtaining a visa to Thailand. Here are the options contingent to your length of stay: 1) There is a one month tourist Thailand visa (valid for 30 days) available free mostly to European nationals, but may vary depending on country of citizenship. 2) If you are intending to volunteer in Thailand for more than a month, and only had arranged a 30-day visa, you can just get a free stamp on arrival. However, be reminded that you can only consume three (3) free one month stamps in the duration of any six-month (6 months) period. 3) Another option is a two/three-month (2-3 months) visa to Thailand that you can apply for directly at any Thai embassy.
