Success of walnuts as a powerful fertility agentr
Recent statistical evidence claims that more than 70 millions of couples in the world are suffering from infertility or sub-infertility complication with more than 50 % of cases attributed to the male partner. While, certain studies suggest that the reason for decreased quality of semen is the poor lifestyle habits, pollution and an increase in western type of diet.
A research study conducted recently proved that gorging around 75 grams of walnuts per day enhances the motility, morphology and vitality of the sperm in the healthy males, who belong to the age group of around 21 – 35 years. The study group was divided into two with one consuming 75 grams of walnuts per day and the other group taking other plant nuts.
The results proved that the test group experienced an enhancement in the overall morphology, vitality and motility of the sperm and they also had less chromosomal abnormalities associated with their sperm. No significant effect was observed on the BMI and the body weight of both the groups. Despite being finding a relation between walnuts and sperm quality of young man; it is still not known whether positive results would apply to the fertility complications in males and translate their infertility into an enhanced fertility.
