Want Personal Success?rnReally? I believe the most important component to change or to evaluate a step or direction toward success is to understand your Purpose. Many people I talk to have never thought about their Purpose. For those let us examine a process to determine your purpose in life.rnThis process can be found in a book written by the late John Kalench, “Being the Best You can Be in MLM”:rnFirst, get yourself a note pad. For the insecure make it a “Big Chief” pad with maybe crayola’s. Yellow pad for corporate America types or a quadrille pad for the very technical. Get your favorite writing device.rnNow, retreat to your favorite quiet place and go to work.rnAnswer the following question:rnIf I didn’t have to work for a living-What would I love to do?rnMake a list. List whatever comes to mind. More is better.rnNext, flip to a clean page and answer:rnIf I were just given a million dollars, tax free, what would be the first thing that I’d do with it?rnAhh, another list… Do not use “pay off my bills”. Get creative. Go on offence, no defense. What would you really want to do with the cash?rnTurn to clean page and answer concerning six healthy months:rnIf I learned I had six months to live-what would I do with the rest of my life?rnWhen complete, you have accomplished the first step toward your Purpose.rnAfter some time to rest up from all the fun, take time to review your answers and maybe give it a sanity check.rnNow, after a week or two, go back to your quiet place and repeat the above exercise.rnYou say you have finished the assignment… You have accomplished what many just won’t do. You have taken responsibility for your own success and are moving towards that first step to a balanced, secure future.rnIt is now time for evaluation and search for your Purpose. It’s back to your quiet place with all generated Purpose material. You should have; Six lists (2 sets of 3), Any notes from your two review sessions, A good attitude and feeling rested.rnFirst, read through the material if you don’t feel comfortable with your memory. rnTry to compare the like answers and note any changes of the 2nd answers to the 1st answers. Determine if changes are due to better understanding or openness or excitement. Maybe you are already moving to goal.rnCompare answers to all three questions. Are there identical answers to the two or to all three questions? Matching up like or similar answers may be the key to your purpose in life. Commonality of answers or a common theme woven through your notes could be the thread to spin the fabric for your Purpose. Chances are very good that the components for your purpose in life are before you and waiting selection.rnHow did you do?rnIf you clearly see your Purpose, document at once…rnI recommend using the KISS (keep it simple silly).rnIf confused, how about an example: “I have attained a balanced and happy lifestyle. My purpose in life is to help others seeking help or guidance to attain this goal for them.” rnOr: “My family has struggled financially. My purpose in life is to build financial security, educate my children and provide a comfortable lifestyle through retirement.” rnHow did you do?rnIf you are not happy with your results, don’t give up. Keep working on it. This is a big deal.rnWhy? You ask…rnArmed with your Purpose, you will better understand yourself. rnArmed with your Purpose, you will make better decisions.rnArmed with your Purpose, you will make decisions much easier. Standing at a crossroad, ask this question, “does this fit my Purpose”?rnTo be continued. Leon Davisrnwww.evolvtexas.net

But if, on the contrary, you find you are living someone else’s life via trending, or depressed and distressed by

I have a new cell phone. I didn’t want a new cell phone; I was perfectly happy with my 2020 cell phone, but it wasn’t happy with me. Its connector charging port was ailing. Failing, actually, the service tech told me. And besides, it was an old phone, what did I expect? Old? This to a woman who is more than content, read “thrilled,” to wear outdated fashions just because she likes them. And would willingly keep computers way past their supposed “shelf life.” Sigh. OK, fine,
