Continuous Improvement/Lean Coordinator Tillsonburg, Ontario RESPONSIBILITIES: Support the continuous improvement processrnDesign seminars and workshopsrnTeach and use the traditional problem-solving skills including: brainstorming, cause and effect diagrams, Pareto analysis, 5 Whys, 5 S housekeeping, P-D-C-A problem solving, and related topicsrnConduct value stream maps/workflow analysis, one-piece flow production, workplace organization and setup reduction.rnApply statistical process control conceptsrnLead Kaizen events, train and guide members working on lean processes.rnExecute specific lean production projects, facilitating teams and task forcesrnDevelop, lead and manage multiple projects, utilizing common project management methodologies.rnProvide strong follow-up, organization and prioritization skillsrnIdentify areas of process improvement opportunitiesrnA key role in the development of a Lean culture throughout the Company.rnComply with all safety procedures as required by the Health & Safety Act and/or Company practices or procedures including but not limited to the wearing of all PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) as specified by the Act or designated by the Company.rnPerforms all other duties as assigned. REQUIREMENTS: Post Secondary education from a college or university in engineering, business, administration or related field.rnExperience with Lean Methodology, Lean/Six Sigma certification preferred.rnMinimum 2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment preferredrnProven experience with managing large, complex projectsrnMust be able to climb, crawl, crouch/squat, reach sit and stand for periods of time.rnProven communication and excellent written skillsrnProven skills in Team building, group dynamics, and process facilitationrnAble to create Seminar and workshop design and implementationrnAble to perform workflow analysis and related industrial engineering techniquesrnProven skills to create statistical process controlrnMust possess a variety of coaching techniquesrnProductivity analysisrnAbility to read and interpret documents and write routine reports and correspondence.rnAbility to speak effectively before groups of employees.
