Tristar Water Solutions offers a variety of water treatment plants using a number of differing technologies based on the individual needs of their customers. Depending upon the capacity of wastewater which needs to be treated, the needed quality of the effluent, and the ultimate use of that effluent, Tristar has a system ready to meet whatever requirements demanded of them. Tristar's systems have a wide range of applications and are ideally suited for irrigation, industrial processing, aquifer replenishment, and even dust suppression.

Tristar has designed mobile water treatment plants, which are perfect for remote base camps, construction crews, and small villages where speed is of the essence and the infrastructure may not be in place to utilize more traditional water treatment options. Each unit, which can supply as many as 150 equivalent people, is a complete turnkey solution containing everything which is needed to start operation with a minimum of hassle. Even better, this system is easily expandable: additional units can simply be added to expand peak capacity.

Tristar's Sequencing Batch Reactor (SBR) is a completely automated plant that is specifically designed for conditions in which water is flowing slowly or even periodically. This system, which utilizes a five step process in recycling wastewater, is able to remove a significant amount of the biochemical oxygen demand (BOD), an indicator of the amount of microorganisms in the water, and nitrogen. In addition, the system can be retooled in order to remove phosphorus, if desired.

The Submerged Aerated Filter System (SAF) is a biological process that has the benefit of being an extremely reliable unit due to the fact that there are no moving parts. Wastewater is passed through a biofilter using gravity before migrating to a settlement tank, the final destination before the effluent is discharged. This system will remove most of the total suspended solids (such as sewage and decaying organic matter), nitrogen, and phosphate in the water.

The Membrane Bio Reactor (MBR) was designed to serve the specific niche of mining camps that operate in dry and secluded areas, although they can also be used in other capacities such as residential neighborhoods and vacation resorts. Since this water treatment plant produces class A+ effluent, it can be used in areas where there is a high probability for human contact. It is a simple design that requires a minimum of maintenance, only needing to be cleaned once every six months.

But Tristar's most impressive achievement may be the application of its wastewater treatment facilities for the processing of greywater, which is produced when water is used by household appliances such as dishwashers and laundry machines. This system, which has been approved throughout Australia, is compact and will not look out of place in any setting, something which is very important in residential settings.

Tristar, based out of Perth, Australia, has come to develop all of these wastewater treatment options over the years in order to adapt to the varying conditions and environments that are seen by modern wastewater treatment plants. With so many options available, there is a product which can be adapted to almost any need imaginable.
