We Can Plan

Although we all may not have a systemized planning program where we log things into a binder that we have to do and scratch them off as we do them, we all plan. We all have ideas about what we want to do and take some actions on things we have to do. We have to plan for obvious reasons in order to eat, to go somewhere and to do just about anything we do.
We all like to know where our next meal is coming from. How many times have we heard "what's for supper?" or "what do you want to eat?" We like to know when our next paycheck will be and how much it will be. We like to know we have what we need when we need it.
Sometimes we get so conce
ed about what our next meal will be, we lose sight of the blessings we have when God feeds us. Sometimes we worry so much about not having enough money, we forget to thank Him for what we do have. Sometimes we get so wrapped up in what we think we need, we need to be reminded what is really important in life.
We get so consumed by our wants sometimes that we forget God will give us all we need when we need it. We don't always recognize it is God giving us what we need when we only have $30 to spend in groceries. We don’t always notice it is God giving us what we need when we have unexpected expenses come up. We don't always remember it is God giving us what we need when we have struggles.
The things we need are not always going to come naturally or easily to us. They won’t even come in the same manner. There will even be times when we won’t recognize we have what we need and we will still be searching for it. However, God does give us what we need. What He knows we need. Sometimes it isn't material things but it is a lesson we need to learn.
Jeremiah 29:11-13 “’For I know the plans I have for you,’ says the LORD. ‘They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope. In those days when you pray, I will listen. If you look for me wholeheartedly, you will find me.’”
God has a plan for us. His plan is greater than anything we can ever plan. We are to seek Him with all our hearts and listen to His voice. We are to do as He instructs us to do. We are to pray knowing He will listen. We are to look for Him to answer and we are to obey. When we obey we are showing we love Him and we will see His plans take form.
We can plan all we want but God has his own plan. When things don’t go the way we think they should we need to recognize it may be God's plan at work and we need to see the good in the situation and what we can learn from it. We can plan the things in our lives but when we do, we need to be sure the plans we make are God's plans for us. When we make our plans His plans, we will make a difference.
