Website development: What makes it so significant in the field of advanced technology? Part I
rnDeveloping website is a process of developing website for the internet or World Wide Web and the intranet or a private network. A website developer can make a simple static page of plain text or a complex web-based dynamic internet application, electronic business, and social network service where the customer can design it the way he wants without having any technical knowledge.
rnWebsite development is a vast process including web content developing, web designing, consumer liaison, web server, client-side/server-side scripting, e-commerce development and network safety alignment. It has two pillars, writing mark-up and coding through which it functions. Developing a website follows a formula called content management systems or CMS. This CMS may originate from a scratch, proprietary like an Open Text or open source like Drupal. CMS is used to create dynamic website. The progress and increasing demand of website for the online business for products and services has helped the development of website to evolve as an industry.
rnTo create your own website, you need to know two fundamental technologies, i.e. HTML and CSS. These two things are complementary to each other. The HTML is used to construct the page, while CSS is used for the modification of style and ways.
Now, what is HTML? Hyper Text Mark-Up Language is a set of language which is used to create the web documents or web pages. Web browsers can read HTML files and decode them into readable and audible web pages. Each HTML tag describes different document content.
CSS CSS or Cascading Style Sheets is a style sheet language which describes the presentation of a document written in mark-up languages like HTML or XHTML. It is used to render the elements on screen, paper or in other media.
rnThere are certain programming language to regulate the functions of a website. It is made of syntax or the form and semantics or the description of that form. Some of the languages are very important for website development, like JavaScript, PHP, C++, C#, .net etc.
JavaScript It is the programming language of HTML and the web, developed by Netscape and uses many syntax from C language. It enables a website to control the browser, edit the content on a document and permits client-side scripts to interconnect with the consumers.
PHP It is the free server-side scripting language which is used to make dynamic and interactive Web pages and usually processed by an interpreter. It is a widely used language and many popular websites like Facebook, WordPress, and Digg.com are made up with the help of this language.
.NET is the software framework that functions mainly on Microsoft Windows. It consists of a Framework Class Library and it provides security, memory management, and exception handling.
