Brokers complained that the Hong Kong stock exchange (HKEx) disclosure website needs technical support to improve the safety of the website since the website was hacked on last Wednesday.
Many brokers urged the person in charge to look into the issue, when all the brokers can not access the disclosure website on which listed companies' filings and financial results were published.
Seven Hong Kong-listed stocks and one bond were suspended from trading at that moment.
HKEx claimed that other systems were not attacked or affected, so other stocks and derivatives trading can be operated normally.
HKEx CEO Charles Li said it was not clear and the motivation or the purpose of the attack was still under investigation.

A temporary backup website was launched to release related information or news when the accident happened.
