Website analytics is the easiest way to track site’s statistics. The web analytics is not only a measure of site traffic, but it also contains tool for business research and market research. It provides information, measurement, number of visitors to a website and the number of page views. The results of the web analytics are given in the form of tables, charts and graphs. There are two types of web analytics: On-site and off-site web analytics. The on-site web analytics determines the number of visitor’s visit on the site and it measures which web page (landing page) boost the client to purchase the products. It completely works for commercial benefits. The off-site web analytics can be used by anyone who own or manage a website. It measures the various criteria like visibility of the website, valuable customers and also the factors which affects website promotion. Hits: A hit measures the number of request for texts, images, video that the server receives for a given page. The hits number will be normally in largest number in the analytics report generally the largest number in your analytics report. It is just a web server request .The value of the site does not depend upon the number of hits. Unique Visitors: The unique visitors are the number of individuals who have come to the site. Page views: It is the number of times the page has been viewed by the visitors. The increasing page views can be determined as most interesting site. Visits: The number of visits denotes the number of times the page in the website being visited. This measurement denotes the popularity of the site. By comparing the most viewed page is the good way to identify which page is most popular among the visitors. Visitor information: The visitor’s information gives more details about the visitor’s locations like country, new visitors, and the web browsers visitors are using. Duration: Duration is the amount of time the visitor spends on the site.rnBounce Rate: The bounce rate percentage of visitors in which the people come into the site and immediately leave without viewing more than one page in the web site. Exit page: The Exit pages denote exactly in which page the visitor terminates the website. The exit pages are useful for E-commerce Development Company’s website, if the exit page is just before the order page then there are some issues in placing orders for visitors. Search Keywords: The words or phrase which paved the way for users to link to the site. The effective keywords can be determined. Tracking Registered Users: Some parts of the site’s page requires login. This tool can track the user’s behavior during each visit to the site. Referrers: The external links that makes the people to land on ones site. This tool is used to track the inlinks of the website. The best web analytics tools are Google analytics, Piwik, Clicky, Coremetrics, Crazy Egg, Omniture, Webtrends, and Yahoo! Web Analytics.
