Millions of Americans suffer from the effects of inflammatory conditions such as Arthritis and Asthma. There are several popular treatments for these diseases. Steroids are one. Though they have shown to be effective, they can have negative side effects that almost weigh out the good. NSAIDs are another. Some Non-Steroid Anti Inflammatory Drugs have such a long list of negative effects that you might just forget about the pains of arthritis and fears of an asthma attack. Prescription pain killers are a third treatment. But as everyone knows, or should know, that pain medications are extremely addictive. A forth option is to take joint health supplements, such as green lipped mussel powder. A child having an asthma attack can be a very frightening experience. Not being able to take a breath is akin to drowning in water. The situation can be so scary that we turn to dangerous methods to treat asthma like steroids. Steroids can stunt a child’s growth and impede his mental development. Placebo inhalers can be effective for a while, but not forever. NSAIDs are the most common treatment of arthritis and general joint pain. They are common, non narcotic, available over the counter, and include: aspirin, ibuprofen, and naproxen. Just because these drugs are available over the counter doesn’t mean that they are safe. These drugs can do serious damage to the liver and gastrointestinal lining over time. When they are mixed with alcohol, the risks grow exponentially. There are many drugs that don’t interact well with NSAIDs, a lot of overlooked side effects like photosensitivity and increased chance of stroke and heart attack. NSAIDs have been shown to cause ulcers in the gastric lining, and they should never be used to treat Irritable Bowel syndrome because of the risk of gastric bleeding. Prescription pain killers are extremely dangerous. They are an unsung epidemic of drug use in America. Powerful ones such as Oxycontin are as powerful as heroin, but because they are legal with a prescription, they are seldom viewed that way. But whatever brand of legal pain killer it is, there are risks of dependency. So they should be used only as a last resort. They do relieve the pain of osteoarthritis, but it is overboard, the way that people in the nineteenth century treated headaches by drinking opium. It is the twenty-first century, and we have much safer alternatives available. The forth treatment is to take a joint health supplement, such as green lipped mussel powder. This is the best way to treat Arthritis, Asthma, and even irritable bowels syndrome because it is natural. Its negative side effects are minimal, and its benefits are many. It is neither a narcotic, nor a non-narcotic drug, but it battles inflammation in a number of ways. It contains a large amount of Omega-3 fatty acids, and other natural anti-inflammatories. It contains Glycosaminoglycans and antioxidants that stop the degeneration cells, molecules, and connective tissues. Green Lipped Mussel is a supplement that can enhance as well bring relief to many health afflictions. Soo , do you want to learn more?
