When all the months of anticipation are finally over and your baby arrived, it's the start of something beautiful. While there is a lot of joy and pride that comes with being a new mother, there are some issues that will be tough to deal with. Life can get hectic and the pace of life can accelerate at a tremendous pace. Of all the new challenges you will face, getting back in shape can be the hardest. During the nine months of pregnancy its inevitable that you will gain weight. Its part of the process and also normal to gain weight. Losing your pregnancy weight is not necessarily any more difficult than losing weight in general. What makes it hard though is much more related to the new lifestyle of being a mom. Time is a real problem with a newborn. You will have almost no time for yourself and you cannot really afford to spend much time away from your new baby. Finding the time to exercise can be a real challenge. Its important that you try to start doing exercise as soon as possible. The sooner you can get active and get back in shape the better. Putting it off for too long can easily make you fall into a bad habit of inactivity. A great way to do this is to take you baby with you. Start by walking and if you are up for it and feel fit enough you can always get a running stroller and start getting your weight loss exercise without leaving your baby with someone else. Dieting will be the next step. If you are breastfeeding you need to be very careful with FAD diets or diet products of any kind. The truth is that its not really necessary either. In many ways it can be an inspiration to kick your eating habits into gear. If you eat healthy then your baby will be healthy. The real challenge is that you will be so busy preparing your baby's food that spending that extra time in the kitchen might seem like too much. It is important though and by simply taking these 2 steps you really can make great progress towards losing your pregnancy weight. The important thing is not to put it off. The sooner you start the better. Its easy to put it off because of the demand on your time or when you get very little sleep but in the end its all worth it. Its not just your health and well being that matters but that of your family as well. Take care of yourself and you will be able to take much better care of everybody else.
