Migraine refers to a neurological disorder leading to moderate and severe types of headaches. Migraine is more likely to be found in women as compare to man. Migraine is a painful headache. Person having migraine, commonly complaint of pain hitting at one side of the head. During pain person me feel irritated because of light and sound. Vomiting, nausea, or sensitivity of light and sounds are the symptoms of migraine. Before the migraine pain, people may feel aura. Aura refers to the problem in vision that occurs before the pain as the sign of migraine attack. Cluster headache and tension are the two headaches.

Many people find that certain foods seem to trigger a migraine pain. These trigger foods often vary from person to person so there is no any proper list of foods that applies to everyone. If you know which foods trigger your headaches, then a simple solution is to avoid them in your daily diet. However, if you still don't know which foods may trigger your migraines, then it is a good idea to start logging what you eat and also when your migraines occur. This will allow you to figure out if there are items in your diet that often coincide with a migraine attack.

Migraine attack is likely to occur between the ages of 10-45. Many times it may take place at the later age. Abnormal activity leads to the cause of migraine. Biologically it has been stated that migraine begins in brain and involves nerve pathway and chemical. This change not only affects the brain but also the pathway of tissue. Certain perfumes, odors, lights, noise and alcohol and smoking may cause migraine. Other causes of migraine are:

  • Caffeine withdrawal
  • Change in the hormone cycle during menstrual cycle
  • Taking contraceptive pills
  • Change in sleep patte
  • Extra physical work and exercise
  • Smoking
  • Exposure to smoke
  • Alcohol

There are symptoms to know that severe headache is on the way. Symptoms like aura or vomiting sensation are the few signs of migraine. Others symptoms are:

  • Feel pulsating
  • It occurs at one side of the brain
  • Starts as a mild pain and lead to a severe pain
  • The pain last from 6-48 hours
  • Chills
  • Increased urination
  • Dullness
  • Fatigue
  • Loss of appetite
  • Nausea and vomiting
  • Numbness, tingling or fragile
  • Sweating
  • Problem in concentrating

Researchers accept as true that low level of magnesium is a major cause of migraines, as magnesium is considered to be effective to relaxing the body. So, regular using up of magnesium supplements may help alleviate migraine pain. Fruits, nuts, and dark green, leafy vegetables are a great natural source of magnesium, so a cocktail of fruit and vegetable juices is very beneficial for alleviating migraines.

Carrot juice combined with spinach, beet and cucumber is very useful for migraine pain relief. Simply use a juicer to combine 300ml of carrot juice with spinach leaves. Then add up to 100ml each of beet and cucumber juices to the mix.

Fresh grape juice is also very effective for migraine pain. Simply grind fresh, ripe grapes and drink the juice directly without adding any water.

Migraine hangover may persist even after the recovery i.e. symptoms of migraine exist even after the pain has diminished. Feeling mentally tired or need enough sleep or increased sleep and neck pain are the symptoms after the migraine.
