Brain tumor symptoms can be very difficult to understand. With so many different types of tumors, it is no wonder. Understanding brain tumor symptoms can help you determine if you have the cancer or not. Here are some of the main signs and symptoms associated with brain cancer. As you begin to become aware of your brain tumor symptoms, it is always helpful to keep a diary. Keeping a diary of what you eat, when you eat it, how long you've been eating it, and any other information that may be associated with your health or diet is very helpful. Doing this can be a great starting point in determining if you have the tumor or not. One of the most common types of brain tumor symptoms is when there is unusual behavior. This may be constant pacing around, talking in short sentences, or a change in personality or behavior. Other symptoms include: memory loss, dizziness, sudden weight loss, and excessive sweating. When these symptoms begin to occur, it is a good idea to make an appointment with your doctor. When a tumor is present in one area of the brain, it can sometimes cause a change in behavior. This can also happen when there is a lot of pain present. The change in behavior will depend on which type of tumor you have. It is not uncommon for the problem to occur when it is in a part of the brain that is typically underused. So, it may not seem that there is a problem. However, if the tumor is in a region that is overused, it can cause the person to become irritable and underutilized. Loss of memory or problem with concentration can also be a sign of brain tumor symptoms. If you notice a change in either of these areas, it is a good idea to see your doctor. Sometimes a person will experience an increase in the frequency of urination as well as a decrease in bladder control. Urinating often can indicate a tumor located on the urinary tract. A decrease in bladder control can be a symptom of a tumor in the bladder. Chronic pain can be another indication that a tumor is present. Pain may start in the leg or hip and will sometimes cause the person to have problems walking. Very often, people that have a tumor will lose interest in their usual hobbies or activities that they enjoy. This may cause a great loss of energy and an inability to concentrate on anything else. Many people with tumors will find themselves losing their ability to speak, having a certain level of cognitive impairment, or losing memory. The signs and symptoms of a tumor in the brain may appear in any location on the brain. Although brain tumor symptoms can be confusing, keeping a record of these signs can be helpful. By doing this, you can be in a better position to determine if you have the cancer or not.
