It is quiet important to choose products according to the type of your hair. It requires effort, time and the right kind of products to maintain your hair.

Understanding the different types of hair care products is quiet important as there are a huge variety of products available in the markets today.
Shampoo: There are different types of shampoos that suit different types of hair. Coarse or dry hair requires a mild and moisturising shampoo. There are shampoos to suit curly hair which helps to maintain the curls in a natural way.
Shampoos are used to clean the scalp and the hair. Strong cleansers are included in shampoos for oily and greasy hair to remove excess oil and dirt. Some of the shampoos have a higher PH level which gives the hair a bouncy appearance. The shafts of the hair stand separate and it appears thick. However, colored treated hair requires shampoo with low PH level so that the color is not washed away. There are shampoos which help to remove dandruff and chlorine.
Conditioners: Hair care products also include different types of conditioners. Hair must be conditioned with appropriate conditioners to soften the cuticles. Conditioners act as moisturisers to protect the hair. Chemically treated hair should be conditioned once in a week. Different types of conditioners should be used on different types of hair. Gel: One of the most commonly used hair care products include the gel which can be used on all hair types. It is a styling agent which has a light texture. Thermal protectant: Popular hair care products include sprays which protect the hair from heat. These sprays guard the hair from heat applied by styling irons and heaters by providing a sheath on the hair shaft. Today there are a variety of thermal protectant products available which can also be used as styling products.
Grooming cream: The grooming or styling cream can be used on all hair types including long hair. This hair care product is available in balm and thick liquid forms which can be applied to style your hair.
Besides the above mentioned hair care products there are many more products which include wax, hair spray and pomades. Choosing the right product helps to style your hair and obtain shiny, thick and healthy hair in a natural way.
