The Supreme Soul is present in every living being. “What is the nature of the Soul? To see the dharma (function) of everything; to see who is performing what function and how that function is being performed. To ‘see’ - this is the function of the Soul”, says Param Pujya Dada Bhagwan, the Enlightened being. rnTo See and to Know are the divine functions of the SoulrnIt is essential to comprehend these qualities of ‘seeing’ and ‘knowing’ in order to know what the Soul is made of. rnThe Soul is made up of Knowledge. It exists in the form of light (of knowledge), on the basis of which the Soul is able to ‘know’ all the objects to be known and ‘see’ all the objects to be seen. This function of ‘Seeing’ and ‘Knowing’ is that of the Soul only; no other element shares this attribute. Hence, neither is this nature of knowing present in any non-living thing nor is it the nature of the ‘body’ of a living being.rnAll that humans do; walking, moving about, and everything else - it is only because of the presence of the Soul that this entire machine (of the human body) is running. The Soul is life energy. If the Soul were not present, then this machine would not work at all; it would stop. What would happen if you closed your mouth and kept your nose pinched? The one who resides within (the Soul), will empty the entire room (body) and leave. The moment Soul leaves the body of a person, it is declared to be dead. However, the Soul itself is an eternal element, hence it is neither born nor does it die; it is immortal and spans through the past, present and future. The Soul has infinite energy, but that energy manifests through a Gnani rnJust as when you went to school to learn, your knowledge was already there within you, but they brought it to light; in the same way, from the Gnani Purush, your energies will arise. There is infinite energy, but it is undermined deep within. The Enlightened One exposes those energies for us. rnThere is tremendous energy lying within every living being, but what can be done, there are layers and layers that cover it up. Until the Soul is covered with veils of ignorance, it is called ‘Jivatma’. This signifies the state of ignorance that the living beings are generally in. Then after Self-Realization, the state is that of ‘Antaratma’, having the knowledge of the real Self. And when all the coverings shed off, the Soul is called Parmatma (God). This signifies the Absolute state of pure Soul. The Absolute Soul (the Supreme Soul) is God (Parmatma)rnGod is in every creature, but not in the man-made creation. However, God is covered. Whichever part that becomes uncovered, it is in that direction that the ‘knowledge’ opens up, and develops in the worldly life to form a lawyer or a doctor. Currently, we believe we are the body and name, because of this we are observing everything through the intellect (Intellect means the indirect light of the Soul that passes through the ego. And ego means the wrong belief of who am I). Then after Self-realisation, we begin to view the world from the perspective of Soul, because we get the awareness that ‘I am a pure Soul, whose divine function is to see and know.’ The Soul cannot be seen with physical eyes nor can it be completely described in words. It is that subtle. To realise it, we need a living Enlightened person, whose Soul is already awakened. Such a person is known as Gnani - Atma-Gnani, with whose grace, our vision opens up to know what is the function of the Soul. Gnani Purush is an Enlightened Being who has the power to awaken the Soul of others. Only He can give us the experience of our true Self - Soul. Param Pujya Dadashri states that, “Only when you have the realization of the real Self (the Soul), can you get your work accomplished. Do they not talk about realizing the Self? You have heard the word Self-realization, haven’t you? You can realize the Self when you have the realization of the Soul!” Thus, to conclude, rnA single Soul has the energy to illuminate the entire Universe, provided it is completely free from particles of karma (that cover the Soul)! In every living being, God (the Absolute or the Supreme Soul without any coverings whatsoever) is present in the form of light (whose divine functions are to see and know).rnBut only when a living being becomes capable of seeing within, then he can see with the divine vision of the Lord, the divinity that resides within it. In the beginning, the worship of the perfect and formless God is done through the worship of a Gnani Purush, who is manifest in the human form and is considered a God with form. Through this, you will recognize the Lord who is formless (the eternal pure Soul). To know more: https://www.dadabhagwan.org/path-to-happiness/spiritual-science/what-is-a-soul/

Healing rarely looks like we think it will. It’s messier, slower, and much more sacred. Some events split life into before and after. A sudden loss. A betrayal. An illness you didn’t see coming. Trauma feels like a storm that tears down the walls you thought were unshakable. But beneath the wreckage, something else waits. Something you might not expect. With time, and sometimes with the right sacred guidance, the very thing that broke you open can also become what awakens yo
