What cures bacterial vaginosis for good? Well, if you are struggling with the pain, embarrassment and discomfort of BV, that is definitely an important question to answer. In order to answer it, however, you need to start at the beginning and really examine the cause of the issue. Imbalance: BV is an imbalance within your vagina. However, that imbalance is not hormonal or chemical in nature. It is actually bacterial. Your vagina is supposed to constantly contain a good supply of lactobacillus and other healthy bacteria. However, the introduction of bad bacteria to your vagina can actually throw that bacterial balance off kilter and the bad bacteria can outnumber the good ones, creating BV. Some people are more prone to BV than others. Genetics can play a role in that, but so can your own choices. For example, BV bacteria feed on unhealthy substances that you may introduce into your body, such as sugar. So, improving your diet could cut back on your BV risks. Medical Treatment: Medical treatment for BV can certainly stop it in its tracks temporarily, but there are problems associated with the antibiotic treatments. For example, antibiotics will kill lactobacillus and other good bacteria, not just the bad bacteria that are creating the BV problem. That is not necessarily a healthy solution to the BV problem. What Is The Solution? The true solution is to restore full balance to your body. Exercising And Eating Right: For example, a big part of the BV treatment and prevention plan is exercising and eating right. Exercising can actually boost your immune system and help your body to fight off bacterial infections. The same goes for eating right. That means eating more vegetables and fruits and less processed foods. Other Natural Options: There are also other natural options for treating BV. One of those is vinegar. A little bit of apple cider vinegar in your bath water can sometimes restore your bacterial balance by fixing the pH balance within your vagina. You may even want to drink a tiny bit of vinegar mixed into a glass of water once a day for maintenance purposes. Vitamins are also very important when you have BV. For example, vitamin E is an anti-inflammatory. So, it can reduce vaginal swelling and burning. Vitamin A, meanwhile, can strengthen your immune system. Tea tree oil can also be used to restore the bacterial balance within your vagina. However, tea tree oil is quite strong. In high concentrations it can increase the burning feeling of BV, rather than helping to treat it. So, be sure to dilute your tea tree oil in water. So, what cures bacterial vaginosis for good? Well, mostly you only need a little common sense. Eat properly, exercise, take the right vitamins and use herbal remedies that support your body. You should never rely solely on antibiotics because they can often come with more problems than they treat.
