What do I do to get the answer to the spiritual question Who am I?

Suppose there is a kid of three. He wants to learn A, B, C, D, .... 1, 2, 3. Can he do it himself? Even if you give him a notebook and a pencil, he will just make a line. But he doesn’t know this is one and what is two. Somebody must make him realize this is one, this is two, isn’t it? So, a teacher is required. Similarly, suppose somebody wants to become a doctor. Does he himself have to do something or he has to go to some expert doctor, some teacher? He shall need a teacher, an expert.
