What I Love Most About My Daily Yoga Practice Many years ago, when I went to my first yoga class, I couldn’t possibly imagine that one day I would love practicing it so much that I even decide to teach others. Everyone is a student and we always have so many more things to learn in yoga; the journey never ends. In my yoga routine, I like to do both meditation and the active poses part, I love the lifestyle principles and the relaxation section at the end. Although I really love everything about yoga, I have been observing myself for years and found out long-term benefits that yoga had brought to my life. Get Rid of That Overthinking As I know myself, I have always been a deep thinker and that is not quite pleasant at moments. When the mind is overwhelmed with thousands of thoughts, many unhealthy conditions could occur and disturb our daily life. When I had moments of anxiety caused by overthinking, I found my yoga routine to be very calming and grounding. After my yoga classes, I usually have a sports massage in order to help my body recover and I feel extremely relaxed after that. I used to struggle with my sleeping patterns but the meditation techniques helped me to build my own going-to-bed ritual and now I easily fall asleep. Breathe One of the things that I adore about yoga is that it brings you back to the present moment and there is always enough time to just sit and observe how your breath goes in and out. The pranayama section of the yoga routine is the one when you are getting healthier and younger by doing this common action. We breathe every second but are we aware of it, do we take the time to just be present and move with the breath? Yoga taught me how to embrace whatever is going on right now and to be authentic. Connection with the Body We all have this precious belonging – own unique body, which is keeping so many memories from various moments in life. Yoga is a system that combines the physical movement with the healthy mindset and when we are fully present in the now, we connect with our body fully. I think to be in a close relationship with my own body is what brings me enormous joy and I feel energized and toned. I love how I become more and more aware of how body feels during the yoga practice, after that during the sports massage and finally later on when I come home. I always feel emotionally balanced and very creative after my yoga routine class. As a holistic system created in ancient times, yoga could give every person the exact answers that they need in order to become a healthy and happy individual. I actually love everything that is connected with yoga and with the techniques that develop the inner abilities of a person. Sometimes I may not like each part of the routine or the daily yoga complex of asanas, but there is always something that could motivate me to find pleasure in the practice.
