Agreed! There’s seldom someone, besides the Enlightened beings, who does not sin in his mind. And why mind alone, we do wrong to others through our words and actions too. But one who leads a spiritual life is able to quickly spot the wrong done and wash the mistake off before it gets ready to render severe punishment at the hands of Nature. rnTo Sin Is Something that One Learns AutomaticallyrnThere is no effort required to learn the art of sinning, isn’t it? To hurt someone, one does not have to go to school and learn the art. One learns it merely by observing others; automatically! And any sin that we commit never goes unpunished - so precise and accurate the law of Nature is! For that matter, even a sin committed accidently will bear results, says Param Pujya Dada Bhagwan, “You cannot escape (the result), whether you do something knowingly or unknowingly.” rnFor example, if our hand falls in fire accidently, our hand would naturally burn. In another example, a child too would burn himself if fallen in fire. It is a natural law; no one can escape it! How to Get Free of the Bondage of That Sin Is Something that Only Spirituality TeachesrnOne who adapts to spiritual life learns to wash off his sins in a timely manner. The spiritual principle says - if you do atikraman i.e. commit a sin, then you must do pratikraman i.e. wash off that sin. What is pratikraman? Param Pujya Dada Bhagwan explains, “The meaning of pratikraman is to return and reverse from a sin (a bad karma)! Repentance is called pratikraman. If you constantly feel that it is your own mistake and you keep doing pratikraman then it is considered the greatest spiritual knowledge of the Lord. This itself will liberate you. Only this word, if one abides by only this one sentence of ours, then he will attain moksha (final liberation).” Pratikraman is a spiritual technique that helps wash away our sins. After pratikraman, even a massive karma bound on committing a sin becomes weak as though it were a burnt rope in the form of ashes which crumbles and disperses at the slightest touch. rnHence Param Pujya Dadashri provides special guidelines to one leading a spiritual life, on how he can even wash off his old and intense sins, "You should do pratikraman for all the people in your home. Each day, do pratikraman for your father, mother, brother, and sister, and even for your extended family members, because these are the people with whom you have very sticky accounts (of sins). If you do pratikraman for your family for one hour, starting from everyone close to you followed by the extended family; going back two to three generations by recalling them a, you will destroy your most intense sins. Their minds will purify towards you. You must do this for all your close relatives. If you cannot sleep at night, you should do pratikraman in this manner. When you start doing pratikraman in this manner, the film will continue. When that happens, you will feel tremendous joy, so much so, that it will overflow.” Is The Spiritual Method To Wash Off Our Sins Too Hard?rnNo, not at all when done through Akram Vignan! This is the spiritual path that teaches us to destroy the sin in our mind itself. Param Pujya Dada Bhagwan, the renowned spiritual scientist, teaches us how! “You should remember Dadaji (or the God residing in the person whom we’ve caused hurt), apologize for your mistake, and resolve never to do it again. In doing this, the pain will be erased and the mistake destroyed. If you fail to do this, your mistakes will accumulate. I have given you this weapon; this pratikraman is a big weapon. This is the greatest weapon to fracture the sins (bondages) committed with the entire world.” Thus, remember God and say, "Dear God, I have thought negative in my mind for so and so person and that is my fault. I am repenting for this mistake. I am asking for your forgiveness. I am resolving not to repeat this mistake. Please give me the strength not to repeat the mistake again." Actual Spiritual Life Begins With Self-RealizationrnIf you have attained Self-Realization, which again through Akram Vignan happens very easily, in just a matter of two hours with the grace of the Living Gnani, the Enlightened One; then we are able to do pratikraman in the absolute spiritual way!!! Such pratikraman is precise and accurate. rnThe Main Cause of Sin Lies In Our Intent. How Do We Deal With It, The Spiritual Way? Further, one leading a spiritual life, learns to develop a pure inner intent. He does so by praying every morning, repeating the following five times: "Oh God! I do not wish to hurt any living being through my mind, my speech, or my body." This lightens the burden of our responsibility because in reality we have control only over our intent. It is through one’s intent that a sin is caused. Our thoughts, speech and action happen based on the basic intention we have. To conclude,rnThe world is perpetuated due to sin and it dissolves by washing the sin off. Washing the sin off is what one leading a spiritual life is able to do. And Akram Vignan is one of its kind that makes it possible for anyone to lead a spiritual life in a very easy and simple way; where we begin to see our own faults as we attain ‘Self-Realization’ through direct grace of the Living Gnani; and then we wash them off as soon as they occur with ‘pratikraman’, so that the sin is completely destroyed!
