The other major type of bamboo that is in the market is stranded bamboo floor created by processing bamboo strands but these are much difficult to install.

The appearance of bamboo floors depends on the way they are cut. Bamboo is either given a vertical cut which goes along its length or a horizontal cut that is through its rings. The look imparted by each type of these cuts is different. Floating flooring produced from bamboo is also equally popular that is the laminated sheets manufactured from bamboo as the raw material. They are most convenient to install. They can be easily cleaned and are fire resistant. It does not cause any allergy like many others wood floors. It is most preferred type used while laying sub floor.

Floor polishing is a vital aspect when thinking about wood floor installation. The wood floors need to be polished after installing so that they become even, glossy, and shiny. Nowadays matte finish is also made available. Bamboo floor can be installed by gluing and nailing. Many manufactures do offer some warranty with these types of floors but care must be taken that no damage is caused to the floors as warranty is availed with several conditions. The reason is that bamboo floors are easily prone to scratch because of heavy furniture. Hence they need to be cared more as compared to the most other types of hardwood floors.
