Dental filling – dental filling can be carried out by a dentist first having to remove the decayed part of the teeth and then filling the affected area. Dental filling can be used in repairing of cracked or broken teeth as well as old teeth. The dentist will first desensitize the affected area of the teeth with anesthetic. The drill will be used to remove the decayed region. The dentist will test the area to determine whether all the decomposed materials have been eliminated. The dentist then cleans the area to be filled with the teeth filling material is applied to the area in layers. Finally, a special light that cures and harden the layers is used. The dentist will then shape the material into desired results. Dental crowns - a crown is a man-made restoration that fits over the left part of a tooth or dental implant. Crowns can be made of different particles including; porcelain crowns, all-ceramic crowns, glass and gold alloy crowns. The dentist first prepares your tooth so that it has an ideal shape for the crown; this involves removing most of the covering surfaces thus leaving a stable inner core. Then the form of the needed head will be determined. A post crown is inserted as the patient awaits the primary crown to be made. You will have to take two major visits to the dentist for checking and further preparation of they are to be fitted with a crown. During preparations, anesthetics are used to prevent you from the pain that may occur. The new crown will be fitted to the part of your tooth required and made to match with your other teeth as closely Implants noticeable. The heads take last a long period depending on how well you attend to it although the doctor is expected to tell you when the head will need to be replaced. Dentures – Dentures are also known as false teeth. Dentures are the prosthetic devices that are constructed to replace the missing teeth. Dentures are mainly supported by the soft and hard tissues contained in the oral cavity. Dentures can be removed such as the removable partial dentures that are used by patients missing some of their teeth. Fixed partial dentures are made as crowns that are fitted on the remaining teeth. Complete dentures are worn by patients that are missing all their teeth altogether. Complete dentures are used in cases where the patient loses all the upper and lower teeth. Patients with dentures are also required to practice the required dental hygiene so as to keep the dentures. Dentures should be cleaned every day to get rid of plaque and also to prevent the teeth from staining. Dental Implants – Dental implant is a surgical fixture that is interfaced with the bone of the jaw and skull to hold firm the dental prosthesis. Dental implants are mainly carried out in cases where the patient has lost all her teeth to dental disorders such as tooth decay, gingivitis, and injury. Materials such as titanium that form an intimate bond to the bone are used to make implants. Dental implants have been tested and found safe to use. Implants like natural teeth can last as much as you care about them. Unattended implants can lead to gum infections, bleeding, soreness of the oral cavity and discomfort. Implants can be carried out in both artificial and natural teeth. It can be done from one single tooth to the whole set of them. Implants can be used to replace missing teeth after your dentist has carried out intensive tests to determine the strength of your jaw. Implants can be fitted immediately or after a certain amount of time depending on the recommendation of your doctor. Some implants can take up to three to four months before they are put in.
