Cosmetic dentistry is treatments and procedures available that will make a smile more visually attractive. Whether it’s making teeth straighter, whiter or entirely reshaping the tooth to make it even, cosmetic dentistry is utilized to create the best looking smile. Dental professionals work to give patients the most beautiful smile possible while maintaining oral health and the needs of the individual. There are numerous different treatments available to perfect your smile. What type of cosmetic dentistry are available? Teeth whitening: Teeth whitening is a treatment that uses bleaching to remove years of staining and help to return teeth to the whitest state possible. There are several different ways that whitening can be done, whether it be with strips, gels or with a concoction that needs to be applied by a dental professional. The cost and quality of the whitening treatment chosen will determine how long the teeth will remain pearly white. Veneers: Dental veneers are piece of tooth-shaped porcelain or composite material that are used to cover the fronts of teeth. Veneers are used to cover up misshapen teeth or teeth that are cracked and unsightly. They are typically used only in the front teeth as this is where the visual imperfections are most visible in the fronts of teeth. rnCrowns: Caps or dental crowns are used to fix the tops of teeth that have defects or sharp edges. Crowns can help regulate the shapes of teeth, thusly creating uniformity in a smile. Dental crowns are used to cover root canals and provide satiability to the tooth that it would not have otherwise. Braces: Orthodontic procedures like braces and retainers are used to straighten teeth and align teeth in a visually appealing manner. These treatments can take a longer period of time to create the perfect smile, but the results are prominent and perfect the smile. Bridges: Decaying and cracked teeth can be detrimental to the appearance of a smile, but they can be extracted and replaced by dental bridges. Dental bridges are false teeth that do not have to be implanted into the gums, but instead are cemented into place utilizing crowns on either side of the tooth gap. Bridges are useful in filling the place of teeth that have been knocked out. Implants: Dental implants are false teeth that are implanted into the gums to create a lasting, perfect tooth. While this is a more invasive procedure than bridges, they tend to create a perfect smile. Bonding: Bonding is a procedure that is used to fill cavities and holes in teeth. This can be helpful in reshaping teeth and helping with their overall integrity. Which type of cosmetic dentistry and dental implants are right for you? Choosing the right type of dental implants depends upon the needs of the individual. Evaluating your smile and deciding which type of treatment would work best for you will help to provide a perfect smile. Cosmetic dentistry and dental implants in Coos Bay is available.
