As more and more studies are emerging about the harmful aspects of non-vegetarian food, many people are eager to find out how to stay healthy without giving up their favorite non-vegetarian specialties. The points below list the disadvantages, and ways to avoid harmful effects.

1. Vegetarian foods are not fibreless: The portion of fiber is lacking in vegetarian diets not, therefore must make a conscious effort to eat foods rich in fiber. Foods rich in fiber (insoluble fiber) are wheat bran, whole grains like brown rice. Oat fiber is particularly beneficial for cholesterol-related disorders heart.
