Before investing in Mutual funds, you have to some information regarding mutual funds.
1. The Concept of "Mutual Funds" was discovered by the investors of the wall street. They collect the money from the public and invest them very safely through their professional experience and get more returns.
2. Each fund has a fund manager, who would be a experienced professional from top business schools and they would have started some funds before and would have a successful profile.
3. They analyze the balance sheets of a particular company before investing in that company or taking a stake in that particular company.
4. They invest in companies for a medium to longer term i.e. 2 to 5 years and generate good returns. A good performing fund generates a return of around 30% per year.
5. You can invest in the funds online by visiting the respective website or through an agent for the funds.
6. Once you invest, you will get corresponding units allotted to your amount. The NAV (Net Asset Value) of the particular fund will be used for calculating the number of units to be allotted.
7. You will also get a statement for the number of units allotted.
8. The fund managers also declare dividends whenever they make more profits. This is to give intermediate returns for the investors who have invested their money in the funds.
9. If you do not want intermediate returns, then you can also change your investment to "Growth" option, where the returns will be accumulated and you can redeem it when you close your investment.
10. Finally when you need money and if you feel you want to close your fund, then you can close the investment and get back the money along with the returns.
