Cloud computing is all about the sharing computing resources on the internet or over the network. Various hosting services are delivered by the cloud hosting service providers to the systems and devices of business organizations. The managed cloud solutions offer potential advantages of various virtual business applications like hosted IP technology, Software as a Service (SaaS), server hosting and data management.

Just like the grid computing, it has unused processing cycles of all the systems in a network which are connected together to solve the business critical issues. These hosting services are widely used by military and research conveniences, various consumer oriented applications like deliver the personalized information, immersive computer games, financial portfolio and provide data storage. It requires networks of several large servers which are supporting the economical consumer PC technology with specialized connections to an extensive data processing jobs across the servers. This entire IT infrastructure comprises of inter connected large system pools.

There are three basic types of cloud computing: the private clouds, the public clouds and the hybrid clouds. The private cloud is a computing platform which is executed within the corporate firewall and managed by the IT department of the company or hired clouding service provider. It is also known as enterprise cloud or internal cloud delivering services “as a service”. Private cloud provides high-class security and fault tolerance along with various other advantages such as core systems monitoring without any interruption (24/7/365), resilient application platforms for higher security and service standards, next generation data centers with regular monitoring and support and meaning the likelihood of downtime is significantly reduced.

It has unique idea of computing and competency to increase the delivery of computing resources while dealing with increasing or high demand for any particular service or application. In private cloud computing you need to pay for the consumed computing resources within the limited time period. The private cloud setup provides a set performance levels to maintain the desired service performance during the unexpected resource demands. The elasticity, scalability and pay-as-you-go model are the basic measurements to analyze efficiency of the private cloud computing services.

It trims down the cost of computing resources which are based on one or more cost locations, managed through automation and identify the scale stemming from the experts handling the various computing resources. These clouds are shared clouds offering services as “as a service’ typically over the internet or the technology infrastructure with minimum or no control. The long product implementation and testing duration makes it preferred choice of the administrators. The public cloud computing is quite affordable than the public and hybrid cloud computing.
