As we become older, we tend to notice that our facial features and body parts begin to sag. This is due to the depletion of collagen and elastin fibers, as well as a loss of shape and volume in areas such as breasts, arms and buttocks. Surgical procedures involving fat transfers and implants are common ways to sculpt and shape the different body parts, including the face. However, not everyone is willing to go under the knife for an elective treatment. In such circumstances, a non-surgical option could be the answer if you are looking for a minimally invasive way to lift and firm the body, especially the buttocks. What is Sculptra? Sculptra is made of poly-L-lactic acid (PLLA) collagen stimulator that works with the body to generate new collagen production and help to establish a scaffold under the skin to add volume and contour the treated area by lifting saggy skin. Sculptra must first be mixed and reconstituted several hours before use. When Sculptra is administered directly, the mico-particles are absorbed by the body to kick start the collagen production. Over the next 6 to 8 months, new collagen strands will be produced to help restore lost volume and contour the treated area. What is Sculptra butt lift? Sculptra butt lift is a non-surgical technique that uses Sculptra to augment and lift the buttocks without the need for surgical incision. It is administered through direct injection into the buttocks at several points. Many people prefer this treatment over a permanent implant as the risks are much lower with minimal downtime. Results of Sculptra butt lift can last up to three years. What to expect during the treatment? One session of Sculptra butt lift can take up to one hour to complete. There will be minimal downtime after the treatment. You can expect some bruising and swelling but it will subside in a day or two. An immediate plumping effect may be seen after the treatment. The immediate plumping of the skin is a result of the fluid that acts as a carrier for the PLLA. When the PLLA are absorbed into the skin after a few days, the body begins to reproduce new collagen, and the results will become more visible over the next few months. You may be required to come back for another 2 to 4 more times for the treatment to be completed entirely. Each session will be spaced out between two and four weeks apart. Who is a suitable candidate for Sculptra butt lift? Men and women who have flat buttocks or cellulite or stretch marks on the buttocks, you may be a suitable candidate for the treatment. However, an assessment by the doctor is required to determine if you are a suitable candidate. What results can I expect? Sculptra butt lift can add volume to flat buttocks, smooth out cellulite and improve the skin’s overall texture to achieve firmer, tighter buttocks when the collagen generation is complete in about 6 months post-treatment. You can repeat this treatment after two to two-and-a-half years after the first treatment for maintenance.
