It’s a lesser known fact, even a heart disease has a connection with infertility. At first this may sound to be an odd combination, but infertility is closely linked to the heart’s health. Below mentioned are five facts that shed some light on this interesting connection which are compiled by a famous fertility doctor in Las Vegas, USA. Here are the facts: Fact number1 There has been studies that have proven that infertility acts as a red flag for the other health issues later in the future. Both men as well as women who are diagnosed with infertility have an increased risk of the development of chronic conditions such as diabetes or heart disease, which is also the leading cause of death in all over the world. Fact number 2 The women who are diagnosed with PCOS (Polycystic Ovary Syndrome) after the fertility test of women tend to have higher risks of facing issues such as high blood pressure, high blood sugar and high cholesterol which altogether noted as the risk factors for a heart disease. The PCOS is basically a hormone imbalance that effects the menstruation as well as the ovulation. The symptoms of this imbalance include issues like acne, menstrual problems, depression, hair loss, and insulin issues. In the cases of no treatment after the onset of such symptoms then it may result in some long-term consequences for a woman’s health. Fact number 3 Men with infertility are more prone to health issues such as heart disease, diabetes, and substance abuse problems. Presently, it is unclear that does the heart disease or diabetes causes the infertility, or vice versa. The hormonal or environmental factors may be the cause. If a fetus is exposed to any kind of harmful environmental elements, then it may harm the fertility as well as the general health later in life. Fact number 4 In some cases, the healthy men don’t get to know that they’re at risk of metabolic disease until they visit a fertility centre to discuss about the reproductive issues. Their fertility check up about their sperm health, hormone evaluations, as well as the blood work also tells about the current general health, as well as the potential future health concerns. Fact number 5 One of the good news that there are some steps that can be taken to mitigate any kind of chances of the development of any health issues. One can’t change their DNA, but the lifestyle can be modified. Steps like stress reduction techniques, regular exercise and a balanced diet can help to increase the overall health and well-being for a better living. Having a healthy and balanced lifestyle also helps in the improvement of the fertility.
