Egg donation is no more a social stigma. Neither the egg donor nor the receiver feels any shame. It is for the convenience of both the parties and thus so popular all over the world. In the past, there has been lot of media coverage on the rising number of egg donations in the world. Although egg donation is a great way of making your family complete, as is said that a child completes the family. But is it safe? Well, the answer lies in the alertness and smartness of the patient. How effectively you research the market and gather the relevant stuff. Often, people just go by the words and choose the one they heard maximum times. But this is not a smart way of choosing a medical practitioner and an egg donor. You need to choose a qualified donor. Anyone can’t donate eggs, there are set standards by the medical practitioners and one has to follow their instructions more so often. If you want to have a good experience with the egg donor and egg donation on the whole you need to pick the right donor. Undoubtedly, you will find a large number of egg donor’s world over, but the fact is that not everyone qualifies for the position. One has to be physically and mentally fit to donate an egg. It is found that out of 100 donors, only two or three qualifies for the egg donations. For a qualified donor it is very important to be at least 21 and not more than 32 to 35. The compensation for egg donation is quite high, which comes between $6,000 and $10,000 per cycle. There is restriction for egg donations, which has been restricted to six lifetime’s cycles. But people, who are in habit of making easy money, donate multiple times, which is against the law. For egg donor the process is not as simple as it seems. There is a multi-tiered screening process which is certainly intense. The process is not easy on donors because the doctors want to confirm that the patient is perfectly convinced with the idea of donating the egg. It is indeed a big decision for which the donor has to feel medically and emotionally fit. There is this screening process which goes for few days and involves four to five appointments. The screening is repeated so as to find a perfect egg donor for the patient. Certainly, screening is a major step in the process of egg donations. If you are interested in helping someone make a family complete, do donate your egg.
