The origin of all thoughts, good or bad, lies in our past life. Our opinions given in past life create the thoughts that we get in this life.rnHow are thoughts generated? •Every time we give a specific opinion, automatically atoms are attracted and get charged into our body accordingly. •A bunch of charged atoms of a similar kind together, form a tuber, which is carried forward to our next life. •From each tuber, thoughts keep arising one after another. •If the tuber is small, it will restrict itself upto the level of thought; but if the tuber is big, then not only do thoughts arise, it shows up in our speech too; and if it is very big, it gives rise to such behaviour as well. rnSo, the tuber is formed from our past opinions. And depending on the tuber, thoughts automatically generate in present life. Let us understand this through an example! In a day how many times do you think about tea? And how many times do you think about coffee? rnOne may say, “thought of drinking coffee comes to me once in a while, whereas I need tea at least three times a day.” This means in his past life he has given too many opinions in favour of tea, and seldom any opinion with regards to coffee. Similarly, one who has given an opinion that, “Smoking is good”, brings along with him a tuber, from which thoughts to smoke keep haunting him all the while. Whereas one who has opined that, “Smoking should never be done, it is highly injurious to health”, has a tuber to that effect and therefore he will always have a thought of ‘not smoking’. Depending on what tuber we have inside us, accordingly the thoughts arise in our mind. How do we bring an end to these tubers?rnPujya Deepakbhai gives us the detailed solution, in a step-by-step manner. To watch his video, you may visit https://www.dadabhagwan.tv/Home/Video/Generation+of+Mind 1.We’ll first understand what kind of tubers exist within us.rnTubers have come into existence in our past life. Now, in this life, we shall make a graph of what kind of thoughts arise more often in our mind - is it that of clothes, food, movies, etc. or of our hubby, children, home, etc. or of money, comfort, luxuries, etc. or of negativity for people, for our self, or certain things that we dislike. rnThen, looking at the graph we can understand what kind of tuber lies within us! 2.We’ll then study and ascertain the size of each of our tuber.rnDepending on what opinions we have given in our past life, the tubers for this life have got generated, and our mind is showing us those tubers now. By observing the frequency of our thoughts of similar nature, we can assess what tuber is big and what tuber is small, smaller, smallest, within. If we see negative thoughts constantly cropping up in our mind, it suggests we have a very big tuber of negativity. 3.Talk with your mind.rnWhen the mind is overwhelmed with negativity, •Tell your mind, “I hear what you say. But I now want to decide to move in the direction of positivity.” •Ask your mind, “Do you like to keep talking negative? Don’t you wish to come out of this? Do you know what all bad effects does this negativity give rise to?” •Say to your mind in a requesting tone, “I heard in satsang that by thinking or speaking negative, negative circumstances arise which in turn give rise to negative results in life. Negativity obstructs our path of progress and instead, makes us slip further down. Do you agree with this? Can you please research on this matter and let me know what do great people have to say regarding positive thoughts and its impact on our life? I really like your positive thoughts (let your mind wonder which positive thoughts are you referring to???), and would appreciate and feel highly obliged if you can search and give me five positive quotes daily morning to inspire me towards positivity.” Interact with your mind in this manner and make it busy by helping it to tread towards positive a bit - says Gnani, the Enlightened One, teaching us the art to deal with our mind and slowly change the belief or opinion of this mind. rn4.We’ll do pratikraman for each of the tubers that we identify.rnPratikraman means to apologize with a clean heart. Say, we have a tuber of negativity for some person. It is because of this tuber in our mind, that it is showing us negative of that person. Take a sheet of paper, and on it, write down each and every negative that arises in your mind for that person. And then for every point, when we repeatedly do pratikraman, each time one layer of the tuber sheds off; the tuber starts thinning out!! 5.We’ll reverse our negative opinion. rnWhenever the thought arises in our mind that, “Oh, he is such a bad person”, at that time, if we immediately change our opinion to, “Oh! He is a good person, He is a very good person”, the might of the tuber begins to dissolve. rn6.We’ll not protect our opinion. rnNot practicing point 5 above, and instead choosing to maintain our negative opinion by saying, “Oh, he is a wrong person. He is always wrong”, know that we are protecting our negativity; and therefore the tuber of negativity will only keep growing big, and from which negative thoughts will keep arising one after another. 7.Never give any opinion, good or bad. “If we have a sincere intention to dissolve our thoughts, we must never give any opinion for worldly things. Then, automatically new tubers will not generate; and we shall experience peace of mind!” says Gnani, the Enlightened One!!!rnDo try following these steps and share your feedback. Instead of living in the moment, we live for the most part in our minds, cluttered with thoughts. These thoughts are in fact part of our memories from the past. These memories are either pleasant or unpleasant, depending upon whether we had a like or dislike towards them when they occured. For example, instead of enjoying the holiday you have been looking forward to, you spend most of your time thinking about your work whilst on holiday. You cannot fully relax and appreciate
