What is the Role of the True Messiah?

As I delve into this more and more, I realize why there are cults and why there has been such a divergence of Judaism and Christianity as regards the Messiah and his role, so also to who he is. When one looks for a Messiah, one is usually doing so through the eyes of human criteria, and that has also been true for the Jews and Gentiles. First I'd like to look at what the role of a Messiah isn't and then get into the faith aspect of it.
Let's look at what a Messiah is not. A Messiah is not a political fixer up miraculous take a magic wand and make it all better in a split second. A Messiah is not there to give us all the answers instantly, which is why Jesus often used parables because he wanted to empower people to reflect to study and get to the answers ourselves. When we assume that any person is there to give us all the answers and magically fix it all without our having to do anything constructive on our part, learn anything, understanding anything, just be robots behind them, that's misunderstanding what the role of The Messiah is.
Having said all that, we have to remind ourselves through whose eyes were the Jewish people viewing the Scriptures and the Messiah. As happens with most things in life, we are viewing them with our eyes, human eyes, through the eyes of the material world and secular precepts. Even when we are viewing them through biblical eyes, we are often not seeing the words as they are, particularly when we are reading translations that have not been faithful to the exact Hebrew and Aramaic, as well as the Greek of the times of the Apostles. We need to understand Jesus as Savior, as Messiah through God's eyes and remembering that nothing begins in the material world, but in the spiritual and thought realm, with ideas, thoughts, words.
If you look through the Bible holistically, God doesn't just come down and do it himself, he instructs, guides and works with us to achieve goals in the physical world that are for holiness, for the fulfillment of his holy precepts to be preserved etc... Jesus when he came did so to empower us to connect with the Father in a profound way, without all those minute rituals building up walls between us and God. He sought to help us regain our lost relationship with God, which was lost at Eden. He sought to help us change our own behavior so on and so forth to bring change to the world by changing our own lives, our communities, creating a domino effect. His governance was to help us become empowered collaborators to make this world a much better place, while still honoring what is pure, holy, sacred and strive to find courage in and through his example to live a sinless life, but never being holier than thou in attitude.
His governance was a spiritual one, a teaching one when he came and at some point, it will be also a material one, one of the material world as well, but as common sense would tell us, based on how things work and God using the Word to create, having to have the idea first, then the Word, then checking if it was as he envisioned, a good thing, we have to see Jesus's kingship as a spiritual one, a teaching one first before it becomes an earthly one. This is something many, even his own apostles didn't and still today don't understand.
