WHAT IS VISIONING? WHY DO VISIONING AS PART OF VISION BOARD CREATION?

As I write in the first chapter of my book THE VISION BOARD: the secret to an extraordinary life, "visioning is a self-exploration process that is sometimes compared to a combination of "soul searching" and meditation and even incorporates improvisation techniques.

VISIONING AROUND THE WORLD

Visioning is a group-focussed activity that encourages people to gather together and get input from others to envision their best possible life. Visioning is also a tool in such corporate areas as strategic planning, new product launches, new company introductions and venture capital acquisition.

Such major economic development organizations as VISTA, the United Nations and the World Bank do some form of the visioning process as part of their training and community outreach with third world and emerging nations.

VISIONING IN EDUCATION

Visioning is used in scenario creation and in model development by religious and educational communities and even in the world of business and entrepreneurship (as mentioned above). Teachers often use visioning as a way to plan a school year with fellow colleagues and later with students.

WHY DO VISIONING BEFORE MAKING A VISION BOARD?

Because visioning is so much more than just wishing or dreaming or magical thinking. Visioning opens up your mind, body and yes, soul so that you can finally release negativity and be ready to receive what is rightfully yours in this world. It empowers you to co-create your best possible life with the Universe!
