What Makes The Best Bagel Toaster?

I really enjoy bagels as a snack because you can choose from many types, such as poppy seeds, sesame, onion, cinnamon, and raisins, and you better not forget. There are others, but the list is long, so I'll keep going.

In our house we had a normal toaster and not a bagel toaster. What is the difference you ask? There really isn't that much difference from the basic models. A bagel toaster has a larger slot to accommodate the widest snack because if you squeeze a bagel into a full-size toaster, it will burn because it's too close to the elements and you don't want that.

As it was time for us to 'upgrade' our toaster, I decided to take a closer look at what we could get and of course ended up buying one with all the amenities. I wanted something that had something to offer and got what I wanted with the Back to Basics TEM4500.

This toaster is made not only for toasting bread but also for muffins and bagels. It is a 4 slice toaster with dual controls. What this means is that you can have a set of two sectors doing something different from the other two sectors. For example, I would put two slices of bread on one side and on the other side I would put my bagel. Another option you can have with the dual control is to defrost two slices and cook the other two.

Along with this, there is the option to poach some eggs. This is still part of the toaster, but it sticks out to the side and you can program the toaster to cook the eggs and bagels at the same time. This whole process takes around four minutes for a very healthy and hearty meal.
