It is said that your skin represents your inner state of health. Moreover, the glow on your skin is one of the most visible factors of your personality. There are various factors that make your skin appear dull. We will discuss some of them in this article below: Reasons for Dull Skin People who sleep for seven hours or less are more likely to have dull skin which is visible through premature wrinkling, dark eye circles, under eye bags, etc. You should not go out in the scorching sun as the UV rays can damage your skin badly. Also, less exposure to sunlight is also a cause of dull skin because your skin needs appropriate amount of sunlight over it to stay fresh as it is a natural source of vitami D. Do not expose your face to sunlight directly, apply sunscreen before you go out and wear a headscarf. Get yourself natural source of vitami D early in the morning between 8 and 10 am. Also, an hour before the sun sets is considered suitable to expose skin. If you wish to have glowing skin, you must immediately stop consuming alcohol and smoking, as these both are known to dehydrate the skin. Smoking cigarettes shrinks blood supply to the skin which causes premature wrinkling. Over consumption of tea and coffee also dehydrates the skin which causes wrinkles. Applying too much makeup and not cleaning it before sleeping causes several skin issues. This happens because when you leave on makeup on your skin and go to bed for 8 hours, the skin stays blocked from oxygen and hence breaks out easily. Dermatologists suggest that stress is also a major cause for having dull skin. What You Can Do To Get the Glow Back Consume apples as they bring back the glow to your skin because they are rich in pectins and vitamins. Pectins soak up toxins from your skin and assist in reducing the effect of damage caused to the skin. Fruits such as oranges and pomegranates are rich sources of vitami C which helps slow down the aging process. Lemons also contai Vitamin C, which is good because it makes your skin supple and soft. Consume green leafy vegetables such as cilantro, spinach, and others that are rich sources of iron and vitami A in order to repair skin damages.
