When the idea of implementing office partitioning as part of a refurbishment plan was initially formed, it didn't seem that it would add anything significant to a work space. A traditional idea of a simple partition is one of a dull, ordinary and solid surface in boring colours. However, this is not the case at all when we consider the range available nowadays in terms of aesthetics and dimension.
Companies have come to find office partitioning remarkably appealing for their branding, making the most of their high potential in displaying their logo as well as some other graphics related to the company and their products. Some simply employ the company colours.
There are choices to be made when deciding that office partitioning is the way to go, such as whether to choose glass or solid, or which colour to choose in order to represent the intended quality such as creativity, productivity or positivity.
One downside to a conventional open plan layout is that any clutter is on display. Further, an individual department in a larger office is not easy to distinguish as the office furniture is the same in all corners. Altogether, this kind of plan can just be a confusing eyesore for the staff, clients or visitors.
Office partitioning allows the departments situated on the office floor to be separated from each other and glass panelling is a popular choice for this purpose. This is even the case when using demountable partitioning. The segregated areas are not bound to being completely closed off either, meaning the sense of openness is not entirely removed.
Once office partitioning has been installed, the look of the office completely changes. For staff, this can help to achieve a fresh work space. The new style, more important than the appearance, offers a new experience for employees. Research has revealed that office workers who enjoy the design of their office, whether homely, urban or contemporary, are far happier and productive at work.
Partitioning gives office space a new lease of life thanks to the coloured, solid partitions that add to the interior décor, as well as the seamless glass walls that add a sophisticated, contemporary look.
The ability to add coloured and textured film to glass result in unique colour combinations and equally unique designs are able to be splashed across the dividing walls in the glass office too.
Another downside to an open plan office is the lack of private space, whether for employees or for reviews, presentations and meetings. There may be some rooms that are squared off but there is often a shortage, resulting in a backlog.
Office partitions, however, work in a number of secluded or private areas into the design. There can be two segregated spaces resulting from a S shape, allowing informal meetings to take place with no distraction from the surroundings.
By installing office partitioning, new life can be breathed into an office and create a positive vibe which ultimately results in increased productivity from the workforce.
