What's Love Got To Do With It?

Do you find it difficult to stay in the Sunlight of Spirit and to create a conscious contact with God on a daily basis in the midst of life, children, work, cell phones, email and relationships? What works best for me is to be in Love, yes, in Love with life, in Love with myself and in Love with you. nYou may be thinking it's easy for her to Love her life; she doesn't have my life, how can I be in Love when my life is so difficult? Well, I do know personally and professionally how challenging life can be. In the drama and trauma of loss of jobs, health and home and broken relationships, I have thrived with an appreciation for all of my blessings and not focused on the lack in my life and situation but looked to the abundance that only God can provide. nEach day, I thank Spirit by making a written gratitude list of my blessings and other times just a mental rehearsal of all the good in my life. Some days I am just grateful to get up in the morning, to be alive and to be in the present moment and other days I have boundless reasons to thank God for the abundance in my life. nThe external conditions of your life do not determine your serenity or happiness in life, you do. Happiness is truly a choice, misery is only an option, and today it is up to you to choose to celebrate life and to be happy or to fall back on old patterns and become a victim. Oh, how good it is to see how good it is! nI have recently moved my gratitude up a notch and go on sprees of appreciation purposefully looking for things to be thankful for in all situations...traffic jams, rebellious teenagers and just chaos in general. It is some times difficult to know the difference between a blessing and a disaster so it is best to look for the miracle in it all. nLife does not always look pretty and often does not turn out the way we have planned though it is life and you have a choice of whether to Love it, and more importunately Love your self today. Self Love is based on acceptance of all that you are, all that you are not and all that you will never be and acceptance of others for the same. This acceptance comes from the constant connection to God revealing who you truly are and who you can become. nThe more Love you have for your self the more Love you have to give to others and the more capacity to receive Love including God’s. Your relationships will be healthier, more rewarding and you will attract more positive people into your life when you know the connection Spirit plays in Life and Love. Stay in conscious contact with True Source first, love your self next and accept other’s as they are, then you are more fully self-expressed in your life without the past dictating your future. What a miracle that is! nTo stay connected to God and discovering your True Self is a conscious decision you make when you decide you want to create success in your life. Ultimate life success is not so much about making money as it is creating a life of full self-expression and balance and creating loving, healthy relationships that support and nurture you. Creating professional success from that perspective is much easier to achieve and more satisfying.nStaying in the Sunlight of Spirit requires conscious awareness and participation in life one day at a time and being Great-ful for the abundance and joy life has available.
