Of course, in the next paragraph I will tell you where to go and where to go in Warsaw, if you have no more than a couple of days in this city. But for me it will be a story about how to give chances. I liked Warsaw from the 4th time, when I was already dismissing, as if from an annoying schoolboy with his “I am no longer a boo!”. All tickets to Poland we take at the https://turisto.com Now I live here for several years, and the city still continues to show its pearls. I would be glad if you try it faster than me :). Personally from me for you two sentences: 1) my author's excursion "The secret places of the Old City". No pity and dry history - the emphasis on brilliant people and mores of modern Warsaw people. People like it. So look! 2) the most unusual new project "Warsaw in a box" - ideal for families with children, companies and even introverts :) And now - forward, in a virtual way, to the sights of Warsaw! :) A building with a difficult fate - for about 70 years of its existence, it was repeatedly proposed to be demolished, thus ending forever with the symbol of the Soviet era, but in 2007, instead of destruction, the Poles added it to the register of architectural monuments.rnAnd so that the “Stalinka” did not stand out so strongly against the background of the rest of Warsaw, it was decided to build several more skyscrapers alongside) So it happened. Now, having risen 123 meters upwards, you will see not only the panorama of the old city, but also modern glass-concrete skyscrapers (in Polish, “Wezhovtsy”). Palace of Culture and Science is located very close to the central station (Dvozhets central) and the metro Centrum. If possible, take an extended tour, which includes a walk through the halls of the Palace and a visit to the basements. Opening hours: 9.00-18.00 from May to August - until 20.00. Also on Fridays and Saturdays you can climb to the site from 20.00 to 23.30. The cost of a regular ticket is 20 PLN, for a night ticket - 22 PLN. Old Town - Old Town Take a walk here as it should). Here, in a sense, is more valuable than Paris or Rome, may these cities forgive me. There is respectful antiquity and history in every stone. Old Town Warsaw is a story about people. Having survived the war, they practically from scratch restored the city destroyed by the invaders. And they chose not gray blocks and concrete of the same type. Today, this incredible work attracts many tourists from different countries. They are always surprised if they first hear that the “old city” is not even 100 years old. It seems the masters should be pleased.rnThe old man deserves to get lost in it without a map and landmarks. In any case, you will see the Zygmund Column, near which dancers, illusionists and musicians often perform, and the main squares: Rynek Starégo myasta and Rynek Novago nyago. Be sure to climb the bell tower - seemingly a small turret at the Castle Square (plac Zamkowy). Having overcome more than 150 steps, you will see the Old City from a height. The site is good because even in not very good weather the view does not hide behind fog and other natural jokes :) Krakow suburb (Krakowskie przedmiescie) Old Town smoothly flows into the most popular tourist street - Krakow suburb. Almost every building on this street is something, and it is known. You will see the Chapsky Palace, the Tyszkiewicz Palace, Bristol - the oldest hotel in Warsaw, the Academy of Fine Arts and its museum, monuments to Mickiewicz, Prus, Poniatowski ... Look at the gates of Warsaw University - when I look at the lovely buildings and the well-groomed grass, the granite of science begins to seem soft)). Botanical Garden on the roof of the Warsaw Library At the beginning of the 21st there was designed and built a real garden, the size of a little more than 2 football fields. It is considered one of the largest roof gardens in the whole of Europe. Winding paths, secluded places, cute pond with ubiquitous ducks and all this with a magnificent atmospheric view of the city. Here the industrial modernity and the melody of antiquity are uniquely combined. And if you consider that there are usually few tourists here, you can have a picnic right on the grass and free admission ... In general, do not pass by! And on the way back you can look at one of the local cafes right on the first floor of the library - it’s also very beautiful there. The garden is located at Dobra 56/66 and is open from the end of March to October, from morning to sunset. Lazienki Krolewskie The next point of our route with you is the most deserved and famous Warsaw park - Лазazienki Krulevské. One of those few places that was not completely destroyed during the war. Now here squirrels, ducks, peacocks, and of course a lot of tourists, freely roam, but there is enough space for everyone. Squirrel, by the way, you can feed, the main thing is to pre-seize something edible for them with you. Be sure to find the ancient amphitheater and sit on its steps. I do not know about you, but I prefer to set the alarm in such places, because here it is very easy to forget about time. About the park itself and the museum inside I wrote in a separate article, so I will not repeat, here is a link for you.rnTo get to Лазazienok from the Warsaw Library, the most interesting thing is to go along the winding and “sloping” Karowa street, go to Krakowskie przedmiescie, which you already know, and take bus 116 or 180, which takes you to your destination in 12 minutes. Zbavicel (Plac Zbawiciela) The people call this place Hipster Place - here in a small area almost half of the trendy cafes are concentrated, where you can eat and drink a cup of coffee. There are very colorful personalities and the whole atmosphere is very pleasant, relaxed.rnIn order not to wind extra kilometers, plan your trip to Лазazienki so that in the end you will be closer to the metro station Politechnika - Plac Zbawiciela is very close. Have a look there at Karma Cafe - here they brew one of the best coffees in the city.
