They can skip a few steps of hierarchy and simultaneously save their time and effort. A tool for personality development: An MBA course emphasizes overall personality development by focusing on presentations, team-building exercises, projects, extempore, role-playing, etc., which, apart from enhancing their social, communication skills, also boosts confidence and makes them industry-ready. Versatile in its offerings: An MBA is a world-wide recognized degree that hones managerial, interpersonal skills and also provides hands-on industry exposure through summer internship programs. Several industry visit programs enable students to meet the industry leaders, entrepreneurs, managers, etc., who, with their years of experience, provide industry insights, connect and often mentor the students. Relatively easy to get in: Scoring higher percentile in Common Admission Test (CAT) is relatively easier for B-Tech students. They are good with numbers and are familiar with the logical reasoning and quantitative aptitude parts where more focus is given. Hones entrepreneurial skills: Completing an MBA guarantees a high-paying job and enables students to start their own ventures if they don’t want to join the mainstream workforce. Sharpens Business Acumen: It also sharpens the decision-making skills of the students, which are never a part of the curriculum during B-tech or any undergraduate technical courses. The case studies help them to sharpen their strategic and analytical minds, turning them into better decision-makers who can quickly rise to a leadership role in the future. Offers myriads of specializations: One can choose a highly specialized field while applying for an MBA; for example, if someone wants to get into the hotel industry, they can apply for an MBA in Tourism and Hospitality. Similarly, there are MBA in Hospital and Healthcare Management, International Business, Business Analytics, Financial Market, Supply Chain and Logistics, Retail Management, etc. Several management institutes and Indian business schools offer MBA in specialized fields. Flexible in its approach: Acquiring an MBA degree has become easy for both students and working professionals. Anyone can pursue an MBA now depending on their level of convenience with regard to time, money, etc. The students can always apply for a full-time or a part-time whereas a professional can apply for a weekend or an executive MBA program without disrupting their daily work schedules. CAT is one of the most coveted entrance exams in India to enter a reputed business school. However, several other entrance exams through which an MBA aspirant can get into a good college or a business school in India.
