A lot of motorbike scrap shops have professional technicians who help to recycle used bikes so that they become usable again. This is the trick. My motorcycle is good expects that it has a faulty brake. Considering the fact my motorcycle is an old model and the parts are now very rare in the market, I have tried looking for the right brake for my bike but I can’t find it. Another person however, has the exact type of my bike that he has used for a very long time. Virtually every part of the bike is bad now, but the brake is still in perfect condition. If I sell my bike to such a shop, all they need to do is remove the brake from the other bike and put in my own motorbike. They can subsequently carry out proper services, repairs and painting on my bike after fixing the brake. With this, my bike becomes marketable again and can be sold for the price of a used bike.

For fixing other motorcycles

Using the example above as an instance, if I had taken my bike to such scrap motorcycle shop with the aim of fixing it, then they will be able to remove the brake from the other old bike and fix on it. If the owner of the other old bike has decided to throw it away instead or just left parked in a space in his compound, then it will not be available at the technician’s shop to be used for fixing my own. Selling your old motorbike can therefore be the key to having someone else’s motorbike fixed.

Selling off for other purposes

Some motorcycle scrap shops where you can sell motorbikes that are old sometimes sell off parts of your motorcycle. They could sell it to motorcycle repairers who are in need of that particular type and specification of part. They could also sell it off to other industries where parts of the motorcycle can be used for creating or fixing things that are not related to motorbike. For instance, they can sell metallic part to small scale steel companies that will melt it and use it to create other types of metal.
